A lot of times I try to get people from other websites to check out my webcomics on Tapastic and they're usually quite willing to do so. But one thing has been very consistent in their response: The website is confusing. This often confused me and I've tried asking some of them why this was or ho…
I would love a review of Hacheeachkee [image] 6_6 it is about 200 pages in though... so you can give it a pass if you must. I don't need any critiques about my other webcomic DeathPrince. It's not something I put enough effort in to want a real critique
if your story's really good and people are hyping on the story and really egging for more I guess quality drop is ok. I did the opposite though and over-pumped the quality, now I barely egg out a page a week. People have been rather quiet-ish thus because there's less content to talk about ho…
As an architecture student I had to go out and draw buildings while abroad so it's not like I could hide in private. Most people are rather interested and some kids often came by to watch quietly trying to be hidden out of eyesight. Before I would get a little nervous that I was boring them and t…
COME TO CHICAGOOOOOOO QnQ If only I could go to comic con....
Meh' I don't see anything wrong with it. When you're online you already make up an online identity for yourself you can be free to hide or show/ make it as close to your own identity it as you please. I don't know what your user on Tapastic site is so I cannot find your comic and tell you if I think…
Typically yes. Your subscribers will be notified in regards to a new comic you made, but they won't be notified if you've added an episode to that comic unless they're subscribed to it.
As I'm constantly using my hands for drawing and clicking (as I color my pages using a mouse) I'm constantly suffering from RSI (repetitive strain injury), particularly in my index finger, middle joint. It gets pretty bad sometimes where red bumps form and i start feeling and seeing the blood trying…
Thanks! I found this very informative, and thank you for the link! I tend to be really lazy with DeathPrince (not as passionate) in comparison to Hacheeachkee (hence all the photo-backgrounds lol) (and I don't have a tablet so I can't digitally draw my characters ) But yeah I'd definitely look in…
All the time XD but... it's always nice to look back and say "wow, look how far I've come"
I like it when romances bloom from a gradual friendship. I get annoyed by love triangles and find it irritating when characters just don't confess their feelings if they discover and know that is truly how they feel and throw it up into one big drama he-said/she-said/I thought you said fest. I love…
Welcome Amai! Your artworks looks very lovely! I'm MylCreates, the creator of the comics Death Prince and Hacheeachkee. I've been a tapastic user since 2014 and I've also moved here from SmackJeeves. I also agree with @niinasalmelin that getting a twitter account is a great way of networking wi…
Your artwork's beautiful ofcourse it'd fit. It is a guest comic so it does not have to match up to the style at all. Let me know if you have other questions If you need references for characters you can find them here: They're travelers so they basically can pop up in any scenario that you choo…
Nope. I prefer just going all original characters, although that makes it harder for people to find since there's no back-history behind them besides just my story. :T
I'd do longer updates, as it'd be easier for readers and you wouldn't have to go back and try to compress the pages in a single episode loosing all your comments if your comic gets so long to the point it becomes intimidating to read. BUT, this also counts as a single episode too, so, you miiight g…
If anyone would like, I'm looking for guest comics for Hacheeachkee inbtw now and the release date of Chp 2 (late May~early June) to start bringing people back into Hacheeachkee after its lengthy hiatus :). When these begin to post I will begin notifying readers from my other series Death Prince to …
https://tapastic.com/series/Hacheeachkee if you like traveling the universe or reading stories about alien like cultures, etc (I'd highly suggest visiting the comic again in June when Chp 2 comes out in full detail and color)
About 2 years ago Tapastic I believe used to have an adventure category, but they definitely allowed people to define their comic under about 3 genera. As they were further developing the site they made creators side with only one genera (and I believe the choices were cut down to what they are now …
Your work's beautiful <3 (subbed!) ^^
The colors for your comic are more minute, I'd say you could stay in color tones and use a different color to highlight important things or do some creative lighting using a single color for certain moods.
Going from Color to B&W can be a tricky thing depending on how long your comic's been going. If you can somehow incorporate a reason for it going B&W within the story (mood shift, change of worlds, backstory, etc), that'd probably be more forgivable. @vincentprendick presented a good idea in using …
I'd have to agree with you. I like attractive characters, but they have to be distinct from eachother. Not the cookie cutter anime body & face type. Basically remove the outfit and hair to make sure they still look different from their cast.
With the content you have up at the moment I cannot put it in a certain category. There wasn't much "action" going on in the pages, then again last time I checked Tapastic doesn't have an "adventure" genera (pity) so "action" might have to be second best for now.
I don't keep consistency. I haven't posted to Death Prince in weeks and still get a consistent flow of new subscribers. only once in a while does one of them ask where the next page is (because the comic has a bigger readership than my other comics and they're unaware that I'm on an semi-hiatus). I'…
Oh 9w9 actually it takes to half way till the second chapter, which has yet to be posted this summer (about 250-300 pages in), for the title to be explained ... Heh...
You got the name right
I'd say no. Maybe if you had a gag-a-day comic, but long-form comics won't do well in Facebook's interface. You probably won't make any pay-back from it either except some numbers indicating "Likes", but really, what benefit would that do for you? Facebook is also the main place where I've had my w…
Depends how much of that gets deducted due to taxes. But if that was the money I got after all that then Id: Get rid of debt. Invest to keep a steady flow of money after. Get a good tablet. Have several worldly travels planned out (Maybe travel the world for 3 years or so) Go to some good convent…
I always forget to put sound effects XD but sometimes silent scenes can be powerful as well. I just assume that people could figure their own sound effects when they see the image instead of reading it.
checks statistics * ... There's clearly about 13x more views than likes for one month of one of my comics, but sometimes the charts look a little wacky since they've different Y scales. Idk, this is what I see: [image] [image] (went on hiatus back in ~ August or so)
