I post mine on both webtoons and Namicomi.

Webtoons is the more popular for most of them, but some of them tend to fall off a cliff in terms of engagement. (It should be said things are a lot different from 2021 compared to now when I first started posting)

I love most of Namicomi set up, but the reader base just isn't really there. Despite probably having the most smooth posting method out of the ones I listed.

What are your experiences with alternate web hosts?

I think Evening Star on Tapas might overtake the webtoon version soon depending on promotion ect.

I am considering branching out into other webcomic platforms.

You can find the official pages for Nixvir on the Webcomics Hub:

https://webcomicshub.com/webcomics/nixvir3

And the Webcomic List (site is down at the moment)

I have also begun to serialise the comic on my new instagram account.

I also have an audio adaptation which can be found here:

To be quite honest with you, I have been forced to consider branching out by sheer necessity. After all, as a certain children's author wrote, "business is business and business must grow." I am still trying to find a platform which could work best for me, but I haven't really made the move towards one yet.

I post here, webtoons and comicfury.

Webtoon because its pretty popular.

Comicfury has a nice community, is customizable, and feels a lot more personal. It was the first place I posted my comic to.

Started here on Tapas, now I'm on Royal Road as well. Applied to post my Rom Action novel on Radish but haven't been accepted yet.

I've subbed you, please do the same for me. Thanks

My manga's genre is a censored 14+ horror, action, supernatural, adventure. Combined views so far is almost 140k its at 139,200 atm.
Comic Fury is my heavy hitter just under 120k views on there alone. Its uncensored 14+ It does desktop and scroll and I fully customized the theme.

Webtoons finally changed over thier rating system to be broken up more for content. So it goes from G to PG13, to Mature to 17 now. So I'm having less people flag me for nonsense. Like a 3 layered fully clothed woman who was flagged as nude. Its my second for views almost 13k. Its censored 14+

Tapas just reached 4.8K. Censored to PG13.

Kami is still in debugging and building mode ive only gotten like 250 views.

My studio site brings up the rest. (Link in Bio)

Tapas is my home base. I've tried Webtoons and the engagement is just non-existent, so I stopped posting there.

I was posting to Comicfury, tho I'm a bit behind, whoops. I do like how customizable it is. There's some engagement there.
Namicomi is different, and I do like their setup, but like you said, not much of a reader base unless you know other creators. And they're still in beta, so I'm not sure where that's going.

I think I tried promoting on Reddit once or twice, no idea if I wanna continue that. I do like promoting on Instagram, though I've been inactive for a brief moment.

Basically, I was more branched out, but the uploading stress got to me so I'm only doing Tapas for the moment cause it's the only rewarding experience. Reconsidering branching out again real soon.

(I'd leave other links, but I'm behind on uploads  ...here's my most active one...)

I also mirror on webtoons and webkomph.

Webtoons because it's obviously the world's most popular webcomic site I don't know why

Webkomph because of the community there. I'm Filipino. Half the stuff there is in Tagalog. 90% of comics there has fighting in one way shape or form because most of the artists there grew up watching dbz and yuyu Hakusho back in the 1990s  when it was showing on TV

Webtoon - Still sucks due to lack of community engagement and being too app-centric. It seems like only those who get promoted on the Canvas algorithm have a chance at building a sizable readership.

Instagram - Has been going downhill as a social media platform, but is where I get the most followers simply because of how ubiquitous it is. The algorithm usually sucks but has been working in my favor lately.

X (formerly Twitter) - Never had to huge following there, but did get more engagement before the change in leadership. Since then, however, it's just been a place where I post my stuff for the sake of it.

Substack - The best platform I've used and the one I allocated most of my efforts towards due to how it operates as a newsletter and blog that allows me to post my comics and related news all in one place while maintaining an active readership and consistent engagement. I think it would benefit the webcomic community greatly if more of them tried this format if the idea of hosting a website sounds like too much.

I'm currently mirroring on maybe too many websites, lol.

I have my own website, which I like because it's uhhh my own website. It has no comments section or super detailed analytics, so I don't really have a good way to gauge how many people are actively reading there (outside of people who tell me they are on Discord), but that's nice sometimes tbh.

I'm of course on Tapas, which has been my best platform in terms of engagement. I have the most subs here, and I've made some decent money from Inksgiving. Met some great people here, so can't complain.

I don't like Webtoon much at all. The website sucks, the culture sucks, and it's basically impossible to get noticed there. That being said, I've had an uptick in engagement there recently, so I'm probably gonna keep posting there until they kick me off for showing too much blood or something.

ComicFury has an old-school vibe, which I really enjoy as an old fart who grew up reading webcomics. You can fully customize your layout, which is cool, though I haven't put too much effort into that since I already have my own website, lol. They also have their forums, which is a good way to engage with other creators. Seems to have a high percentage of passive readers, but not a lot of engagement? But I haven't been there long, so maybe that's just me.

NamiComi takes a while to get used to; the website is a little confusing. I do page-a-week format, which it's not really well-designed for, though I've been assured they plan to fix that Eventually™. In the meantime, readership is pretty terrible. Community is nice, though.

GlobalComix's reading interface is incredibly slick—you can set it up so it highlights and zooms in on the panel you're currently reading, which I think is a great compromise between mobile optimization and my stubbornly sticking to page format, lol. But I always feel like a small fish in a big pond when posting there. Legitimately get no reads. Gonna keep posting there for now, but it kinda doesn't feel worth it.

And finally Fables, which is still in pre-release, but I have high hopes for it. It's made by the people behind TopWebComics, who seem genuinely passionate about helping creators as much as they can. Like ComicFury, it has a bit of that old-school vibe that I like.

I mainly post here on Tapas and on Webtoons. I've also been trying to keep up with it on Tumblr and my portfolio website but... yeh no, automated set up stuff makes it a lot easier.

I've also had my own website for years, where you can read the latest new pages:

Words. started out on Tapas, but is now on Webtoon as well.

I also started posting on Instagram and Threads.
