Me first:

My novel is set in a post-war world where a cult of animal worshipers kidnaps people to turn them into zombie animals;

The sect promotes a world where humans become animals, completely losing their lucidity, which is what separates humans from animals;

Given this, fast food franchises have become a symbol in the fight against this sect, having heroes and weapons to fight.

Important:

There is currently only one chapter, but there will be new chapters every Sunday!

I spent basically all of August planning out the world and characters for my story, before finally getting to writing anything at the start of September. The world itself is a different one as the genre is isekai, but instead of the typical high fantasy that gets used all the time, I decided to go with a Steampunk theme!

The country my protagonist ends up is trying to catch up to the industrialized nations around it, and he'll eventually go on adventures to other places around the world as a hired bodyguard with his team. The closest thing to magic are Wonder Stones, which are capable of a variety of things, but can't be controlled so much as applied or used as tools. If that sounds interesting, I'd appreciate you giving it a read!

In actual comic the world building reveals itself mostly through environment. Meant to feel like you're watching it from 12 year old Owen's pov.

It's set in a fictional island-country called Heavensea in current day earth. (Imagined North Pacific, but left it open) Was inspired by the New England Sates within the USA. The MCs, brothers Evan and Owen's are from a small town called Gunnhildr Way a place with a spooky-gothic, nautical flair.

Unfortunately you'll never see the country in its glory as the brothers unwillingly started an outbreak (due to a strange condition they contracted). The brothers assume their parents are at a shelter with other survivors and any lifeform they make contact with would instantly mutate into monsters. A Kaiju sized monster (birthed from Evan's puke) has flattened most towns into rubble.
Meanwhile, others with the brothers' 'strange condition' have began to emerge, but they've spun the situation into a death match!

Among the rubble and abandoned structures, decoration for the upcoming independence day celebrations is frequently seen, along with posted ads for the Warriors Expo, an event Owen was looking forward to this weekend.

Good morning everyone. Success to everyone who posted their work above

(post withdrawn by author, will be automatically deleted in 24 hours unless flagged)

Lol it's already been built. Just read history books all the way to current events. There. :laughing:

It's--simple but also complicated depending on which side of the story you're on.

Overall it takes place in current times around the fictional, rural town of Greyhenna Valley, somewhere out in the Midwest. The town's boasting point is that it's the home of TFC's hq, but that's really about it XD Not to mention the CEO is facing some public ridicule after his wife's death in the midst of a growing vegan demographic.

On the farm/chicken rescue, there is a society of chickens that base their hierarchy on who's the toughest fighter, and have formed four major Orders that dictate their ways of life, basically like cults. My MC is from the Whites, a group founded on moral righteousness, non-violence and charity, and basically lives like, well y'know--a friar.

This season is gonna focus on the Red Order, where fighting and bloodshed is paramount...once I get through the setup eps and introduce a few new chars first...

I would say that The Lost Forest world building is subtle. There’s fantastical elements in the story like different races such as elves,orcs,faes etc and Gods who have been mentioned but they haven’t been fully introduced yet.
The main focus of the novel is on our main character and her group.

My comic strip has a comedic and zany tone, but there's still some worldbuilding behind it.

The central aspect of the story is The Echo, an ominpresent psychic force which every character has the ability to tap into. Anyone who uses the Echo is called a Resonant, and everybody's technically a Resonant. The Echo allows a person to activate unique abilities by using the Law of Attraction to channel their thoughts and feelings and unique traits into energy in order to manipulate reality itself. How The Echo works can be explained in many different ways, from hard quantum physics to flowery spiritual rhetoric. It's very versatile that way.

The comic also takes place in a near-futuristic megacity called Manifestia, whose culture, technology, etc, revolves around The Echo. The strip itself hasn't delved deep into this aspect of the worldbuilding yet, but will eventually.

Lol same! I throw out a basic setting and let the story unfold from there! It's a lot of fun!

So far, my novel hasn't made it past Baron Baltimore's estate, but there's meant to be three countries on the continent of Cernia: Velikanst, Feyrian, and Xelidu. Velikanst is kinda like your typical noble kingdom, with an emperor and everything. Feyrian is where the elves live, protecting the Tree of Life, but there are a lot of humans there, too. Xelidu is like a mix of African and Middle Eastern culture, with lots of opportunities for merchants and artisans alike. So that's the basic overview, but it's in no way set in stone. I guess we'll see how it changes throughout the series! Don't forget to like and subscribe! :yum:

It's our world!...but with animal,,,and a lot of magic and demons

My story Bound by Death takes place mostly in the Underworld, only it has a different history and rulers than the ones in known stories. Some time is spent on Earth, where beings called Cursed Souls wander and are exterminated by Reapers who live in Purgatory. Purgatory is a neutral world between the Underworld and Overworld. The Overworld is where gods and angels live.

nice! i like your world, cool stuff bro! keep up the good work!

mine is a fantasy, adventure, video game based world filled with monsters and magic! sounds like your typical isekai right? well not really... well... maybe but not really, cause i added my own twist to it hehe

im a big fan of lord of the rings, one piece, and all those grand adventure type stories and ive made my own, so i hope i get to fionish it someday. i barely got to finish season/ chapter 2 and theres tons and tons more to this story.

Adventure stories are the ones that captivate me the most, I hope you get the recognition you deserve!!
