Just finished the first pass of an animatic I've been slowly working on as a warm up. I'll try to start putting the finishing touches and some basic colors today
finish lining this one last little character on this last page then get to what i'm really looking forward to which is color everything
Hope you recover soon, this is horrible!
Well, as for me, I failed yesterday's goal, finishing only 3.5 pages, because it was impossible to sit straight. I did finish the 4th page today though and layouted 6 pages We'll see what will be tomorrow.
What's my creative goal for today?
Same thing we do every day Pinky...
i gotta start working on my comic and novel T^T and save up for better equipment, guess i'll be working another shift haha, if anyone wants to check out my work, here it is:
I don’t usually work on Saturdays but now I’m mega excited for this side project that I’ve already inked five pages of this week after having just finished writing the first 32 pages. So my goal this morning was to pencil pages 6-8, ink the lettering and panel borders, and at least finish the inks on one of those pages.
Trying really hard NOT to work all day on a Saturday though because I’ve hardly seen my husband but we’re both very busy with projects.
I need to draw armoured soldiers holding a massive door shut that’s being battered from the other side. Not a clue where to start so I’m procrastinating here instead.
Back with some #goals!
Today I wanna:
I'm gonna chill until 8pm though because I'm very tired from a week of working and I deserve a little break, I think.
finally finally done with lineart so now i can rush to finish colors
That was two weeks ago, the very bad part lasted around three days (I felt all kinky with a posture collar like device at night to keep head straight not to move the neck). But now it’s back to normal, so I’m catching up on a lot of things...To be honest, if it’s very bad, maybe take a rest? Get better, and catch up later. Readers or boss can understand.
Sounds like I’d start by deciding on the angle. Personally I dislike drawing people, so I’d do a birdview panoramic to show wall’s massive features from above and a mass behind (no details), and a series of messy panels highlighting details of soldiers holding the door. Like a hand pushing, some feet blocking, some shouting face, some weapon being prepared with door as background, etc. And then another series in different color maybe for the attacking side../
Page 6: fully inked Page 7: penciled, lettered and bordered Page 8: penciled, lettered and bordered
ALL THE GOALS ARE HIT! But I still feel like working so I might ink another page...
I could be your opposite as I prefer drawing people , but how you’ve built that up sounds really exciting! Especially with the closeups etc. Makes it seem manic, which I guess it would be.
It needs to be all In one panel if possible though.
That’s great. The satisfaction of ticking all boxes and more...
As for me, Sunday, family day, so my daughter and I plan to record a song, that’ll be her Christmas gift to my parents... (first time she won’t travel to see her grandparents and my side of the family for Christmas).
Half way on the web feature prototype but feeling stuck and frustrated on the javascript coding. I put it aside and now work on chapter 2 splash page, i'm gonna keep it very simple.
finished the inksgiving comic and thus granting myself rest. i'll do ink maths later
