What song makes your character cry?

Is there a song that would hit your character right where it hurts to the point of water-works? Link the song here! If you wanna link your work, go on ahead.

Joan Jett's cover of the song "You Don't Own Me" by Leslie Gore would probably make my character Agony cry. The lyrics of the song tie into some backstory wounds she doesn't even know she has. The hard hitting piano and Jett's vocals especially would speak to her soul.

Maurice is already a quite emotional person, and I think when in his world a Melanie Martinez with Carousel would exist he would loose it.
He could connect on another level with the lyrics.
And for Alexander it would be more of a Achilles, come down. He would be both voices in a twisted way. Because he know what love can do too both partners.

Ooh, this is an interesting thread!

"This is Home" would totally make Aeri cry. Even if she tries not to show her true emotions most of the time, that song would probably hit pretty close to home because of her situation in the story and her overall personality.

"Cotton Candy Skies" would make Luci cry, and honestly, who doesn't cry to that song? She's already generally emotional, and it would probably make her start sobbing both because of how it sounds and how she could relate to the lyrics to an extent.

Hanako would cry to Devil Town, even though it's an upbeat song. It would hit way too close to home for her, since after her parents divorced she relied on her friends to fulfill her need for attention, but she also genuinely liked her friends and would be in a really bad place without them.

One of my main characters is pretty emotional in general so there's probably quite a few songs that could make him cry under the right circumstances. He doesn't usually cry in front of other people but when he feels like he's been bottling up his emotions I can see him making himself cry with music when he's alone to let it all out.

My other main character is pretty stoic but will almost lose it at Oró, Sé Do Bheatha 'Bhaile at some point in the story for plot reasons I won't spoil now.

YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Okay. I got two.

Naota spends time exclusively with girls back in his universe; ergo, they drag him around everywhere. He's got the girliest tastes in music and it's the funniest. I really need to get Andie to draw this, but Naota blasts this whenever he's sad:

Any song with Sans and Papyrus singing a duet or Sans singing about Papyrus would rapidly send Fresh into a downwards spiral. He wants to have a relationship with his Papyrus, but can't because of his parasite - it would put Fresh!Papyrus in too much danger, so Fresh has to distance himself. I think the one that would hit hardest would be Close to You. That pulls all the heartstrings, especially with the music video. He'd probably lose it. Even with the parasite trying to smother his emotions. Look it up on YouTube if you want, I don't have the patience to dig it up right now.
