I say, do whatever you can to keep your work before the public eye. The old saying is true: out of sight, out of mind. I have noticed waning readers once I mark a work as complete. It is fortunate that creative people are never short on ideas. Time and energy are usually the problems. My first novel, The Faerie Dusters, was meant to be the first of eight novels. I just never got around to it.
For The Space Bum, I managed three sequels and a prequel. For the Star Seeders series, I wrote three books. Once I get into a character, there is always something new and fun to consider.
