I've been off Tapas for some months now, so I don't know who's around these days. Just checked out the new section of the forum to see what's up.
I was working on writing the second Part of my novel, and I've quadrupled its length so far. Sitting at 96k now! I'll be editing and posting Part Two for anyone who still wanted to read it. But the biggest issue I'm running into is:
I want to self-publish my novel on Amazon once it's finished. It'll be re-edited and probably read much better than it does on Tapas, and it'll probably go through an actual editor, as well. Should I keep posting all of the work with the lesser edits without updating them to the final revision so that readers that are interested can still enjoy the novel? And how should I go about telling them it's been edited/published once it's finished? Should I just put that up on my main page, and maybe at the beginning/end of the book?
I feel like it'd be rude to stop at Part One or Part Two and use it as a "teaser". That doesn't really jive well with me.
Any thoughts on how to go about this in a good way that doesn't disrupt my current readers or the publication?
