What to you like doing? (other than art)

So, I was asked by a stranger:
"Other than dolls what do you like doing"?
And I start thinking: OMG!!! I don't have any activities that are not work-related
I don't consider myself boring or uninteresting But I don't know how to answer that without giving away my empty workaholic loner life.

I enjoy watching horror movies and eating pizza...I'm really trying my best.

What do you like doing? please inspire this soul.

Gardening...? I guess. I like raising things. Especially things I can eat. I'm currently growing strawberries, tomato, and red bell pepper. My strawberry plant is turning 12 years old and still giving me berries every year!

Other than that, I really like resin crafts. It's an expensive hobby that adds up over time, but I really like trying to make cute and sparkly objects.

I like learning new languages,studying ,watching tv dramas ,anime and I like learning new things.I am currently learning mandarin a little bit of Japanese but can’t understand well and also korean .I know how to speak three languages fluently without considering mandarin

I have been learning about resins I still want to learn to make cute keychains with clear resin and glitter. Too bad that prices went crazy these months and craft materials always seem to be sold out.

I like to make pom pom animals as key chains

And sewing all sorts of projects using my sewing machine (this is a purse)

Also like to practice acrylic painting.

My hobby is watching movies, it may be from 2020 or 1902, but old films are my favorites because I can analyze the difficulty of what it was to produce that 100 years ago.

I like reading and watching stuff on YouTube, and sometimes get too deep into gaming. It's a pretty generic hobby I guess lol.

Oh yeah resin keychains are fun to do. Did a lot of it with glitter in clear resin.

Epoxy resin is a lot more expensive than polymer resin. But the most expensive material is the silicon mold... unless you want to buy premade ones online but it will only have limited shapes. If you want custom shaped ones then making the mold is the way. If you're not planning on making alot then theres a way to make one without rubber mold.

On topic - other than fabrication and painting which is still art, I like working on my car and fixing issues that I can fix myself. I like driving around but lately i'm not going out because of quarantine. I like playing video games too if i'm not drawing comics.

I love music and games. I play piano (not as much as I'd like) and guitar, and I like following what's going on in the scene. I'm also a big fan of games both board game and video game alike. I play waaaay too much of them and at one point was seriously trying to learn the code to make them myself, but that was a previous life when I had more time (I'm currently going through the Final Fantasy 8 remaster. It's actually a really great remaster. They did a solid job with it.)

I like to take walks in nature, but sadly I've been living in a city for a few years now and I don't have a car so I haven't been doing it as much as I like to. I'm moving closer to nature soon though!
I also enjoy talking to friends, and hanging out in whatever fandom I'm currently in. I also started growing some chilies this year, which has been fun!
Oh and I like to read comics and novels of course!

My other hobbies include plush making, cooking/baking, reading, walking.and of course hanging out with my kiddos and showing them the world (although not at the moment cause pandemic)

@mappypaint They look great!!! Good job! Do you know if Epoxy turns yellow over time? I bought a clear resin long ago, I'm not sure if it was polymer or what type, but it started looking amber.

AHHH I get so excited about artsy hobbies!! They would actually count as work-related in my case because I work with molds, paint, resin, plastic, fabric, etc.

Yes epoxy will yellow over time and so does polymer resin. This is the reason why they spray UV protection clear paint over carbon fiber hoods on cars since carbon fiber uses epoxy resin and exposure to sunlight accelerates the yellowing. In polymer resin it can be a case of too much hardener in the mix if the cast turns yellowish quickly.

Ohhhh thats a great explanation! Thank you so much for the help! I want yo make some doll eyes and the yellowish effect was worrying me.

A friend o mine recommended me to try uv acrylic glue, I would like to experiment with that one too. I only need a little clear dome for the iris of the eyes, so I don't need too much product.

I like to crochet different things like Pokeballs and animals to stuff with cotton fluff. I made key chain plush animals and characters to decorate mine and my friends key rings. I also enjoy playing video games and watching funny bad movies with my husband.

I like listening to music on YouTube, watching some random astrology YouTube videos (particularly those that deal with Vedic astrology), reading short poems, and stalking other people's comics in a good way.

My hobbies (other than art) are gaming (mostly on switch and ps4), baking, sport, reading, kdrama watching , learining new languages and programming. But the last one is also my job, but I do it also in my free time.. so maybe it counts

Painting!,and singing mainly,I even make my own songs (But never display them publicly, of course).

This was my first ever painting. (sorry,it sucks,i know.) ^^

(I also realized that this is still art,but whatever, i also watch my brother play video games,and play some myself; Mainly pokemon on the Nintendo switch right now)
