What type of representation do you want to see?

So I was thinking about it and with the numerous communities what different types of representation do you want to see? If you choose other please tell me what else you want to see. Please keep in mind that my comic is about flowers so I use the flowers color pallete

Bit confused about gay/lgbtq and transgender being different categories, but voted for them anyway. In all honesty though? Literally all of the categories sound great to include in a comic.

Okay good to know, so the reason I put it like that was because trans has less to do with who you like and more with how you feel about yourself. And along with that, even people that support LGBT can be transphobic

I say culture because, in my opinion, plays a big role in a person's identity. It doesn't necessarily have to be religious, just the idea of society wanting people to be a certain type of person.

I want more albino representation. I wanna see how you'd make that work with a flower, a character that can't be in the sun, but somehow is still able to get its required nutrients and photosynthesize.

tbh I feel like it should come the character before the group you want to put them in, like representation is a wonderful thing to reach to the people who might feel left out by the society they live in, but if you focus on making them fit in a box, you don't focus on developing a good written character, this is with the exception that the focus of the story is to tackle these issues, still, making the whole character based on a single quality is a tricky thing and you should be careful and do your research before going forward.

I chose Other because I want to see more disability rep.

I feel for a comic about flowers, it would be interesting to show flowers unique to certain countries. Like the Bird of Paradise flower is from South Africa so you could have the character be South African coded.

Okay I really like the idea of disability, and I could portray it as like wilting flowers and such

I can look into that and see if that happens, tho I know there is diseases in flowers that cause discoloration I'm not sure of albinism

I picked everything. It’s nice to see everyone represented. As for the “other” category, I would also like representation of disability, neurodivergence (though not sure how that would work with plants), different body types (think succulents!) maybe also specifically aspec characters? (I know that falls under the LGBTQ+ umbrella, still nice to see specifically that.) There are plants that reproduce asexually so that could work.
Also, what about plants that don’t have chlorophyll? They exist and they are pretty, but they depend on fungi to survive. Maybe that could be translated as albinism or disability? (I even submitted such a plant character to the flower character contest already, she’s inspired by the ghost flower, but there are many other plants like that, feel free to check)
