What was you childhood favorite book/Tv show, and how does it influence you work today?

Detective conan is the biggest inspiration for my comic. But I only started watching the show when I was 14.
I love that it's not only about the cases, but about the characters as well. In many shows they don't really have good characters. I like to focus on my characters and their struggles.

I've loved watching cop shows since I've been a kid.
This one was my favorite when I was around 4-8.

So my childhood has influenced my work. : )

Dr. Seuss books and Ed, Edd n Eddy have always been some of my favorite stuff. Thanks to still owning some of the books (like Go, Dog, Go!) as well as reliving some of the movies on various streaming service, their strangely relaxed yet energetic styles have blended into my works. They're almost rhythmic in a sense when I look at them.

While I never actually attempted to draw these characters (yet), I've taken cues from how they go about character and world design. Honestly, I started to figure that out when I started watching the Eds again. It's wild!

Wilma Tenderfoot. That book series was my childhood, and I think it's inspired most of my work in someway or another.

For books:
Madeline was my favorite book as a young child. I always like the simple illustrations and I think I sort of like how scary things would happen yet things turned out fine in the end.

As a teen I was into Dragon Ball and DBZ which inspired me to draw more and got me into creating my own comics.

The Pigman & Me is what I blame when it comes to me wanting to make things dark and depressing. I feel like this book shifted my perspective on the world as a young child.

For shows:
I watched a lot of Simpsons growing up and I feel like I was inspired by the whole concept of situational comedy and dark humor.
