What would be your characters' favorite social media?

What would be your characters' favorite social media? If they had social networks in they world? What kind of content would they post?
For Angie from my "Summerdays" project it would be Instagram for selfies or Twitter for random stuff, Angelica is to young to have it! Lucas would choose FB and would pay special attention to his status. Sam would post photos of various food on Instagram too, Cassandra would be definitely forbidden to have an account, but someone would probably talk her into getting a fake name account just for fun!
And what about your characters?

It's funny that you just made this topic, because right now Red is going through an Instagram phase in Red Squared Blue Squared.
Blue would probably use Twitter, since the short form posts are enough for his attention span to handle.
And Reapy likely just looks at the obituaries in the newspaper.

Silerna would have Facebook. And that's the only social media she would have. Not that she will be very active on facebook either. Post a funny cat picture now and then or post a random comment on posts by others.

Jacob and kris fromWelcome Back probably just use forums for odd stuff like dreams/writing/art. Probably don't use much mainstream social media much. Same with Ekido, probably never uses social media outside of maybe deviantart to post his doodles.

Mallena definitely overuses instagram, twitter and facebook posting selfies, sassy Rihanna gifs and relatable cat memes.

Li probably spends all his time on 4chan on the gaming/anime portions.

Lucy uses only wordpress and tumblr and probably posts a shit ton of smut, political rants and fandom stuff. She also uses Etsy for her dolls and other crafts she makes. Definitely has at least 7 aesthetic blogs.

Haha okay so 90% of my characters in Banquet are just horrible horrible hellbeasts so obviously...they would be great at social media.

Bernard would be a facebooker but would definitely believe and get upset about every fake news article! He takes everything very seriously!
Hadrian would have social media presence everywhere and probably would be...making those fake news articles for the lols.

Tim is too young for social media now but I could see him getting into twitter and becoming just totally addicted later on.

Funnily enough, I included something like this in one of my pages.

Beau would be all about instagram and/or snapchat. He'd post a bunch of food, since he works at a fancy restaurant and has an interest in cooking.
Andreas would be on facebook just for family and a few close friends. He'd have an instagram for his travel photos though and he'd probably be on tumblr for shits and giggles.

Roghans favorite would be twitter probably. Tweeting about how annoying his mom is and that he doesn't want to do his homework. He would also tweet a lot of silly selfies and retweet everything that's funny to him. Also memes. He'd be a total memer and 9gagger.
He'd also stay in touch with people he met while travelling with his mom, using snapchat or Skype.

Celest would be a total social media addict and probably an influencer. He would have a very neat instagram for his outfit of the day and his cat Gladys, and would also run a tumblr blog for style inspiration, reblogging 90s clothes and everything that's cute and fashionable. And he would have a youtube channel where he does covers of his favorite songs, and simply to send love and encourage people to be themselves.

Roghans mom Moira would be a facebook-addict, sharing baby photos of Roghan and tag him in anything that she finds funny, until he blocks her. She would also share photos of sightseeing tours and post those annoying inspirational posts that basically say nothing but at least have a pretty font. Her friends would get invites for Diamond Dash or Farmville on a regular basis.

And Celests dad Grey doesn't even know how a cordless phone works. But he'd occasionally play the guitar in Celests music videos, oblivious to the fact that everyone in the world can see their vids.

Gosh. Social media for Grassblades-folks? Let's see what we can come up with....

Masahiro would be that guy who has NO social media presence. Heck, he doesn't even have an email-address. He's a digital ghost.

At most, he has a smartphone he never uses. Akane's somehow installed Instagram on it and keeps posting pictures of funny rocks, weird frogs and shiny things she finds. Sometimes, Masahiro's in the background, blurry and grumpy as heck.

Chouko would have a twitter account, but it would be more informative than personal. She'd RT political news and interesting science facts, and use it to keep tabs on her social circle. She'd also be running a chat-group somewhere, probably Discord or Slack, to keep everyone who works with her in the loop on important things.

Dateh would have an Instagram, where he'd post lots of pictures of food and fluffy animals and flowers and things, and a Twitter to be sociable on, and maybe tweet short poems. Kazue would have a Twitter and an Instagram, and maybe a themed Tumblr-blog or two. She'd be the one getting into screaming-matches with morons on the internet and Tweeting long, threaded rants at 1am. Her Instagram would be 50% cool and funny things that caught her eye, 50% selfies and pictures of her friends. Her Tumblr-blog would be all about celebrating cool ladies in stylish clothes that she herself would never ever wear. Also, a Vine-account posting jokey videos that are genuinely funny 45% of the time, and fall absolutely flat for the remaining 55%.

Lady Watanabe would have the snarkiest Twitter-account on the internet. People would think it was a parody account, but it's her. Her sidekick Ying would have a Tumblr-blog full of thought-provoking philosophical articles and the occasional cool picture with a poetry-quote in Helvetica across it. Would occasionally reblog tearjerker GIF-sets of popular movies. They'd be co-creators of a blog dedicated to those weird speculative fiction text-posts you see rolling by on Tumblr sometimes - the Earth-is-space-Australia, and what-would-real-urban-magic-be-like and stuff like that.

Wen would be the one getting into fights with Kazue on Twitter, and would 100% have a personal Tumblr shouting angrily about social justice, arguing with anons and occasionally reblogging photos of historical weaponry. ... and then she'd have a super-secret Twitter-account where she tweeted about personal feelings. It would have zero followers. Kobayashi would have a Twitter-account trying to sound like a serious statesman, but he won't have figured out how to cope with the 140-character limit and would keep messing it up. Wen would loyally RT anything she found particular inspirational there. Kobayashi also has a Google+ account he never uses, and a Myspace, because nobody told him Myspace is dead, and he doesn't get social media anyway.

Tessai (who has not yet been named in the comic) would have a Twitter account and would tweet annoying jokes at Wen just to rile her up.

The Stranger Things-boys would each have an Instagram. Yarrow's would be all about baking and tea and gardening and self-care tips and pictures of his unimpressed cat. Isam's would be attempts at serious artistic photography and he'd actually be kinda decent at it, mixed in with pictures of stuff he's eating and maybe a cute animal or two he spotted. Also, pictures of his friends, but none of himself.

In There was a War, Balor would probably be most inclined to tumblr. shes... awkward. and scared of people. tumblr provides a safe distance at which she can be friends with other awkward lesbians, and its got its own set of social rules she understands much better than the real world.

Cath's a snapchat girl. she loves the golden flower crown filter, and her story is always filled with pics of her trying out the latest filters. shed try to take snaps of balor until balor deleted the app (she got it back, but that was that for the mugshots)

troid and fual are 100% facebook people. they share all the memes and funny videos - 100 years after balor's already seen them. they show them to her sometimes like its hilarious and shes proper deadpan about it. everyone at the keep is fb friends with them, or else theyre impossible to work with. someone made an extension that blocked all their activity from your feed.

Neamh plays pretend shes a facebook girl, but she has killer instagram game. she posts nature shots, baby shots, make up and craft tutorials. her location is always off.

domhnall dont know what a computer is, in any AU or timeline. its beyond him.

the Morrigan - and all the Tuatha de Dannan - can only be reached by going to myspace and pressing up up down b a enter. you reach a strange, inverted myspace, and each god has everyone on their friend list. everyone in the world. we are all ranked. after half an hour you get blue screen of death. after a day, your computer explodes.
they each also have a twitter account, obviously not run by them, with about 20 tweets between them and each 1 million followers.

OOOH! OKAY! BioHazard characters!

Jon's would definitely be Instagram! He's an insta model, for sure! He would have pictures of beaches and secret surfing spots around Hawaii. He would post videos of him hiking up the mountains and lots of sunsets. And with that new Snapchat-like feature he would be on there all day talking to his followers and what not, or updating them on behind the scenes photoshoots or surfing competitions, you know, the stuff those super fit, super sexy people do on Instagram.

Michael is definitely on Snapchat, that is his thing! He loves using Snapchat and Vine! But since Vine got taken down he has moved over to Snapchat full time to keep making funny videos (usually pranks on Jon). He even goes to the trouble of saving snaps in his phone, using another app to cut and edit them together, and then re-upload them on Snapchat to create these pseudo-vines since Snapchat doesn't have a stop-and-go feature. He found a way! He will not be stopped!

Tristan is on Facebook, she is the social butterfly. Facebook is her main tool of communication to create events, find what people are doing, etc. She uses Facebook Messenger more than any other messaging app because of all the features it has (like seeing when people read messages or sending stickers). She also likes to see what people are doing, she uses the "What are you doing?" feature quite often and likes to check into places. Tristan also likes Facebook because it makes her life easier as she can use it to log into almost any website so she doesn't have to create usernames and passwords to remember.

Alani LOVES Twitter! She likes to tweet celebrities and some celebrities even follow her! She is always on there writing down her thoughts or retweeting funny memes or other tweets. She uses it sometimes for activism and feminist causes she feels really strongly about. She sometimes puts up nail and makeup tutorials that she uploads on YouTube if they get enough traction on Twitter. She's had a couple of tweets go viral and land on other entertainment websites, so she has a strong presence on Twitter. She would like to transition full time to YouTube but she's not ready to take on that really big commitment.

James texts but mostly uses phone calls. His children got him a computer so they could video chat with him but he never opens it so they gave up and now stick to phone calls and texts.

Saichi > Tinder. Despite his sweet personality, Saichi enjoys having meet ups with the ladies.

Mikumi > 9gag. Just hours and hours of endless scrolling in 9gag. Thinks he's funny but he's really just reposting Uzuki's OC stuff from reddit and taking the free upvotes.

Yashiro > Tumblr. The nerdy, "can't let go of the 90's" side of Tumblr. She never really grew up lol

Springlock > 4chan. He doesn't deserve anything more than the toilet of the internet.

Mitsuhiro > Grindr. ... but that's not any of my business.

Severian's is Youtube. I have exactly 0 doubt that modernAU Severian would get into LPing, and I feel like he's a kind and ridiculous person who's good at being explosively excited so he'd probably do well!! Also, definitely Snapchats. He has other social media but tends to forget they exist. Maybe occasionally sends Tareth weird/funny things he found on Reddit. Hasn't touched facebook in 200 years.

Tareth's is Facebook by default, because she probably still updates there. She would not know what to do with other social media and be really shy about posting unless she had friends there, so since Sev doesn't post much, she'd probably just follow people who are interesting. But if she later made friends there, I think she'd enjoy the more fun sides of Tumblr a lot!

Jonan's is Twitter. He's sarcastic and passive-aggressive and goes back and forth between not wanting to give idiots the time of day and Getting In Twitter Fights With Idiots. He thinks Tumblr is a cesspool and won't touch it. He might be slightly less disdainful of some parts of Reddit but has no patience for stupid trolls either. Has an Instagram which is shots of his necromancy and sewing work and a lot of spooky bones and skulls aesthetic and literally no photos of himself.

Xira just kind of goes wherever his friends are, but he tends to keep his social media very personal and not have an "audience" in mind -- he's the most likely to have a locked account. Also the most likely to vaguetweet.

Æmber lives on Tumblr, (though she also probably uses Instagram, shyly likes all of Jonan's posts and posts a lot of selfies). Loves shitposting and fangirling and gets involved in the Discourse. She's into social justice and gets satisfaction out of dragging fools and isn't very good at toning it down. Excitedly sends Tareth every Deaf culture related post she finds and eventually gets Tareth to join her in tumblr hell, where they have a good time (even though the amount of politics Æmber puts on Tareth's dash would stress her out)

My teenage cast in Life of an Aspie would use the typical social media sites you'd expect them to use. Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, YouTube, etc.

The adult characters like Susan's grandmother or Yamada would use Facebook at most which lets face it is social media for the older generations.

Hmm, my main character Karin from Love Metal actually hates social media. She's even scolded in the beginning of the comic for not having a facebook account.

If she had to choose, she would probably prefer youtube (if that counts) so she could watch vids of all her favorite bands and maybe some cartoons on the side.
If she was a youtuber, she would most likely post band review videos and really make an ass of herself in them XD.
