What would you call your art style?

My very own blend of semi-realistic European-comics-meets-definite-manga-influences with underpinnings of I-did-a-lot-of-acrylic-paintings-in-high-school, flavoured with a dash of gosh-partial-face-blindness-is-weird-to-have?

Or dang-I-like-drawing-big-noses for short.

No, bust seriously, I don't know!
I've heard people say it looks like Bone (bones?? nor sure what its name was), Scott Pilgrim and Tim Burton (neither has been an influence on me, but I think it's fun when people compare my stuff, as it seldom happens!).

I'm a rip-off of a lot of cartoon styles. A little Tim Burton, a little Don Bluth. Mostly, I'm knock-off Disney. That's the best way I can put it.

I'm mainly influenced by japanese culture and aesthetics. That's why my webcomic looks a lot like traditional manga.
Overall it's a very dark and gloomy style. I try to give my lines some kind of weight but at the same time legerity for action scenes. You can find influence of

• Nomura (Final Fantasy)
• Inoue (Vagabond)
• Samura (Blade of the Immortal)
• Kishimoto (Naruto)
• Obata (e.g. Death Note)
• Asano (Oyasumi Punpun)

Sometimes it's hard to identify why your style is a certain way, since you pick up so much as you constantly improve, but I can kinda trace my style wayyyy back to my Dr. Seuss days. It's a weird mix of Quentin Blake (illustrator of Roald Dahl's books,) Tim Burton, Dr. Seuss's illustrations, and flowy inking picked up from Ukiyo-e paintings. I'm still developing, and am picking some stuff up from highly detailed pixel artists as well. All in all, my personal belief is that, the more eclectic, even subtly, the more personal!

Aww, jeez, it's a mess.

It pukes rainbows all over the canvas. Colors so loud it upsets the neighbors. It struts nakied without any linework. It just sheds everywhere, and I have to shave it to bits with the eraser tool just to keep it in line.

It's like keeping an unruly pet really...
I'd guess I'd call it:
Painterly.

I started with manga style in 2001 - have been drawing like that since then! =P
Mostly because I don't want to change to another style mid-series

Well, I don't know how to define my style but something I know about it is that it is vintage and very inconsistent hahahaha
It is some sort of mix of inkblot cartoon+ vintage manga + art nouveau (Alphonse Mucha) and golden age illustration (Kay Nielsen and Yoshitaka Amano mostly)

When I began developing a style, it was mostly cartoon-ish but then I discovered shojo manga and began drawing only in manga style. After some time,a group of friends told me that I needed to find my own style so, I left manga behind and started all over studying anatomy and classic art.
You can see my development in my first comic: At the beginning it is very manga-ish, then it gets more cartoon-ish
My most current style would be this one: which I don't know how to define at all hahaha.
