What would you do if you found a time machine?

1.Id warn my younger self of things
2.Give my younger self the answers/cheat on things (especially lottery and bitcoin)
3.id get involved with powerful people who where starting their monopoly's in the 18-1900's so that i would be able to have some kind of money to my name when i am born.
4.get my parents in on the good shit in stocks like amazon, google, facebook, GM ect
5.go into the future and if i see anything wrong over there i will change it in the present
6.go wayyyyy into the future, find anything extremely valuable (like cure for cancer) and sell that for 1bill
7. tell younger self not to eat so much

i feel like once all my problems are solved then id find something to be pissed about. lol

Actually, that sounds awesome. Getting to try to uncover the mysteries of the world and history. I feel like going back in time to try to see if Jesus was really divine (or check out any other historical claims from any religion) would make a great story.

I don't know how great the story is, nor do I recall the name of it, but I've read that it has been told at least once. A man goes back in time to see Jesus and finds that the real Jesus was some sort of invalid. This somehow leads to the time traveler becoming the Jesus we know himself. Seeing as this would involve crucifixion, I feel it's rather a bad end to a time travel journey .

I'll have to do a bit o' Googlin' and see if I can't hunt down the title of the story.

I’ll do boring stuff like going into the future and back to win lottery tickets, buy an island and a chopper/yacht to get there and then keep it in case the world needs saving.

As for the money - obviously I’d use it to feed myself so I can laze around and read/watch stuff all day. On a good day I’d donate some to different charities and perhaps do other charity work. Aside from using it to buy stories to read and items to use in games, I’d also use it for my continuous Netflix subscription and I’m sure most of it would go to travelling to different parts of the world - esp. in New Zealand, gosh darn that place is so beautiful! I wanna go back there ASAP!

I digress, lolz.

TL;DR I’d spend money I get from using the time travelling machine on selfish stuff and then spend some on selfless stuff so help balance things out

I once had a dream that I found a time machine and I used it to go back in time to hug my cats that had passed away. And honestly, that sounds exactly like something I would do.

Outside of that I'd use it to go see bands that don't exist or tour anymore and experience all sorts of small events. I'd like to go visit bars and movie theaters in different eras, and just watch the daily life of people. I think the most interesting thing would be to just explore how different the little things are in different times.

I've always wanted to give today's technology to older generations and hop back to the present day and see what happens. That, or buy all the BIONICLE sets I missed out on for a reasonable price.

I wanna go back 35.000 years and see how Mammoths were hunted, both by Homo Sapiens and Neanderthals. I want to see the two kinds of humans mingle and become us.
I'd probably also go back in time to see how my dad was when he was younger, popping in and out of his life to see where it went wrong.
I'd visit my teenager mom in hospital to tell her that it's okay, anorexia is shit but she'll defeat it and that her dream of having children will come true.
I'd want to see how eastern europe was in the old days, back when the jewish folk and the other people shared villages in as close to harmony as mankind can get.
And then, I'd write stories about all of this, become rich, and destroy the time machine so that nobody else will be able to use it. MUAHAHAHAHAHA

I feel like I would poke around in lots of places, were aliens in Egypt? What happened with Atlantis? I would go back and see my ancestors castle in it's full glory in Scotland. I would go and see what my Great Grandmother was like in her younger days (I'm told she was a bit of a hell cat).

I'm halfway through Season 5 of Grimm, and this just occurred to me: if I found a time machine, I'd devise a very elaborate scavenger hunt, go back in time to put it in place, then travel forward and watch people go nuts trying to figure it out. But it'd just be a big troll: a stone chest that contains a rubber chicken or something dumb xD.

I feel a li'l dickish having typed that, but something tells me that "ancient rubber chicken" would be worth more money than it really had any right to be. So, I think my conscience would be clear enough.
