What would you say was the dumbest thing you’d written into your story?

I can’t pick one as the thing so here’s a random one:

Me literally writing a character doing a thing in a scene that was about the other members of his team trying to rescue him, like the whole plot centered on him not being there. Yeah this is why you proofread kids. I published this to wattpad and more than ten people read it.

I guess with Elsie that the suit has no logic to it when it comes to flying. It’s not in the comic yet but she adds wings to a heavy duty mining suit and adds light wings to it. I mean I guess it works in their world but still.

I don’t think I added anything intentionally dumb in Elsie in all honesty.

In Cracking Eggs, Wellington falls for an obvious disguise with Winston dressed up as one of the chefs that happens to have his body type and stature. But that’s why it’s hilarious. Eric and Winston just had sheer dumb luck!

I think the dumbest I ever wrote in (if you can call it that) was I never created speech bubbles digitally from the beginning. I used to hand write them as they were messy and there was too much writing.

Well, I had thought my comic was mainly a comedy, but I've switched it to a more appropriate genre now, lol.

That being said, there's a lot of dumb 'art' mistakes I've drawn into my story without thinking it through.
Like why does a CEO - who are generally paid more and successful- live in an old country farmhouse?
Why does he park his nice looking car out on a dirt road and not in a perfectly fine garage that you can see in the same panel?
Also, my favorite mistake. When he returns to work, his office is like-empty. Then, in the next episode, a chair, ficus and desk props magically appear! (Maybe the cleaning staff is lazy XD)

Being me, I can come up with 'reasonable' reasons (yeah, I typed that) to explain my lazy artistic choices, which is challenging and also hilarious part of making this comic.

The “arranged marriage” part of Crow’s Worth. I added it in and regretted it because I ended up writing myself into a corner trying to justify it. Dai was the hardest character to write but I think I was able to make something that works. But if a critic says that part of the story is dumb and makes no sense, I would agree with them.

Writing isn't my strength so I'm sure there's a bunch of dumb stuff in there.

Early on I was teasing that Ragna has amnesia regarding her death/curse but quickly dropped it. Amnesia stories are lame and I quickly realized having the character fully aware of everything makes it much more interesting and more importantly dramatic.

A good chunk of my creative process is having something silly come to mind and running with it. Examples I can think of off of the top of my head:

-One character nearly setting himself on fire while trying to show off.
-One character hiding in a basement for a week because he's ashamed that he wears glasses.
-Someone using a treadmill to cook a potato.
-A game of hot potato with that same potato.
-A bunch of high-ranking officers making a guy play pin the tail on the donkey to pick a new crew member.
-Someone living in a box for a week when he has a bed.

These are all from the series I currently have posted. In a thing I'm writing for my other series, one character makes a dish involving tea. I've never made tea, and found out after a quick Google search that I had him brew tea the wrong way. Just a completely terrible way. But instead of editing out my mistake, I've decided that this character, who pretends to be British, was taught how to brew tea wrong as a joke.

My main character who died in a traumatic shooting (she was then reincarnated) mentally begging to be shot (the whole "just shoot me now" phrase) when in an uncomfortable situation she wanted to get out of. This phrasing persisted through several rewrites and editing. The chapter was days away from being published when I finally realized she would never use that phrase anymore, so I hurriedly changed the statement of consternation.

I can say the dumbest thing I've written in to my comic is a scene where a few characters are trying to escape a dangerous situation and they use an explosion to launch themselves away from it.

When writing it I knew that it's absurd but I wanted to add something kind of silly/impossible. I wanted to take a second to not get too caught up in realism and play into the fantasy aspect
