This is one of my favorite character development questions I explored during the creation process LOL.
This is Jay(purple) and Andy(pink).

Normally they’re both tea drinkers(green or black teas) they occasionally have a coffee.
Andy is a black coffee drinker
Jay loves a caramel Frappuccino with extra whip cream
Post og story: For Jay’s own self image they hold each other’s drinks in public.

Haru would choose some kind of Frappuccino because she's a picky drinker.
Tsukasa would choose a pumpkin spice latte because he's playing up his femininity.
Either way, what they pick at Starbucks reveals something about their personalities.

Haru would usually go for plain cause she likes the simple things, but when she wants to do something new, she would go for extra whipped cream and a drizzle.

Of course, Haru’s drink is also my personal favorite as well, but I always go for extra whipped cream and a drizzle.

I feel bad for pretending I don’t realize she was planning to say something as I turn suddenly toward a coffee shop on the corner and say, as if I just noticed its presence, “Oh! coffee! Could we stop to get something hot to drink before lunch? I really need something to give me some energy…”

I hate coffee.

But Melissa seems to completely forget everything else, clapping her hands twice like a kid on Christmas day.

“Ooh! Yes yes! Let’s go. I haven’t had my fifth cup yet today!”

The darkest blackest coffee, like her soul devoid of any sugar after the grinding of her loved ones, lol raving only the bitterest taste………eventually she finds love in her life again and adds milk though

well, the lie is for the sake of a secret romance, that only makes sense in context. but she did really want to get to spend time with Melly, and that's what makes the lies so complicated unfortunately.
