What's a webcomic that you liked, but seemingly out of nowhere, was completely deleted?

So, has there been a comic you liked or followed that one day, for seemingly no reason, disappeared without a trace? Perhaps not even announcement before or after its deletion was given, and not a mirror or reboot exists that replaces it. Maybe the author, along with the comic, has vanished or remained forever silent on the matter.

This question stems from my grief that a comic I followed on SJ has just been deleted for seemingly no reason. That comic being Cafe Au Lait, a simple Slice if Life/comedy comic that was really the only thing on SJ I was still checking up on. But now clicking on anything related to it just gives the URL not found page, and without any known social media, and lack of a PM system, I can't simply ask the author or check for any news. I can only hope that they have decided to move elsewhere, and are merely in the process of doing so.

I liked one comics, which title I don't remember. It was about very cute drawn guys and girls in hospital clothes, trapped inside of a dream. They had adventures in that dream and intense interactions. One guy (I thought, he's a girl firstly XD) managed to escape a dream, and then... what do you think happened?..

That's how I felt when Spottoon just up and vanished. Social media hasn't been updated in ages, I have no idea what happened. I GRIEVE FOR CLOSURE.

Yeah I was following a fantastic comic a couple years ago, it had really nice art with some very endearing character designs and the story was quite pleasant so far. Then one day it vanished with no word. I don't even remember the name of the creator to try and find them elsewhere on the internet.

I will just forever bemoan that missing comic with dragons and super cute dwarves/gnomes? I don't even remember anymore.

Yeah, the lack of ways of communication has left a lot of SJ comics to just dissappear. I had one like that too, I could find all others' mirrors, but not that one, and I was waiting for it, till one day the link broke.

I've also had a novel dissappear like that here in Tapas, but my guess in this case is that the author just lost interest in the idea, despite the huge interest of the readers, and didn't want to bear with people getting mad and bullying her into continue.

What sounds really rough is by the way you're describing this, it seems like the author upped and left at a critical point in the story. Almost fitting in a way, that as soon as a character escapes a dream, and we might finally get answers...it's gone. It's secrets kept to itself forever.

Too bad really, it sounds pretty interesting.

Yeah, while I can't name any off the top of my head, I think I've seen a decent amount of comics that'd been discontinued for that reason. Author leaves a notice explaining how they're no longer happy with their work, or reasons similar/related to that.
