Ah yes, I think I've seen this comic in the suggestions bar many times after the update. Seems like just one of many comics that are still clinging to SJ, but are currently on hiatus. A few of the front page comics are like this, but they usually come back within a few months.

I ask this because I'm honestly kind of worried about the website's comics. The amount of comic creators leaving seems to have leveled off now, but I'm worried that what remains might not be enough for the website. A few decent comics are still uploading to SJ, but I can't imagine the foot traffic p…
I've seen side stories and AU's, I've seen short (<1min) animations, but this is a first to me at least. I've never seen anyone make a song for their webcomic, much less a whole album's worth! Giving the first few songs in the ending album a listen, I like they the ambient feel, but it still feels…
Also love that banners are back, cause I know quite a few people were a fan of those (as was I as well). And Endless Scrolling instead of the webtoon style...fantastic. Great feature all around. It's also great you guys have also compiled this in a changelog, easy for us to look through. No surpri…
Classic Mode? ... [image]
My goodness, as a kid, everytime that movie came on (Nickelodeon, I think) I sat down beginning to end
Batman & Robin The Super Mario Bros Movie I've always told people that if movie's gonna be bad, hope it's at least hilariously bad. And boy, do those movies fit that criteria.
Yeah, while I can't name any off the top of my head, I think I've seen a decent amount of comics that'd been discontinued for that reason. Author leaves a notice explaining how they're no longer happy with their work, or reasons similar/related to that.
What sounds really rough is by the way you're describing this, it seems like the author upped and left at a critical point in the story. Almost fitting in a way, that as soon as a character escapes a dream, and we might finally get answers...it's gone. It's secrets kept to itself forever. Too bad …
So, has there been a comic you liked or followed that one day, for seemingly no reason, disappeared without a trace? Perhaps not even announcement before or after its deletion was given, and not a mirror or reboot exists that replaces it. Maybe the author, along with the comic, has vanished or remai…
Oh shit. I just looked at Comico, and that theory just seems on point. The two look the same, some of the comics are the same generic looking one's that are labeled Smackjeeves "Exclusives". It's just sad that they used the Smackjeeves community to try and propel themselves, and in the process, ju…
Man, you got me getting emotional here!
I'm glad that this might help you. Good luck!
Previously they had just locked the forums. Now it seems to have been completely deleted. The forum button gives me the URL not found page, and any results of the forum from google also gives the same thing. All that can really be done to try and see old threads is Wayback Machine, which of course i…
A little time is nothing when we have all the time in the world.
Yeah, it doesn't discriminate by view count or episodes. "My" comic has had 2 spam comments, and it only has 12 episodes and 88 total views. Hooray for equality???
Yeah, as someone younger (and therefore newer to webcomics), I'd agree with you on Homestuck, xkcd, and Penny Arcade. Homestuck, I remember being really big around the first half of the 2010's. Heard some people talk about it in school, and my sister (who's been to conventions more and longer than…
Let's say you were making a retrospective on Webcomics: Which ones would you deem significant/popular enough at the time? If you want, you can also focus on a specific genre (Comedy, SoL, BL, etc), and they don't have to be on Tapas. If I've worded this in a confusing way, this question stems fro…
Wasn't it like that with the older design? In the top right area?
What was the 24hr limit?
You don't think that's been asked? When I did, this is all I got. It's not a answer that instills confidence that things will get better the quick, easy, and overall better way. [image]
No setting, nor a timeline of when that feature (really, one of the things that set Tapas apart from Webtoon and Smackjeeves) will be reimplemented. Apparently, Michael has said they will do that eventually...but honestly, take it with a grain of salt. Clearly, these decisions are being forced on by…
Thought I recognized the name. Jumped to the beginning, and saw the cover. While I haven't read this comic, I swear, at one point I couldn't escape seeing the cover on the SmackJeeves home page (or maybe it was suggestions, I'm not sure). You know, when that site was still decent :')
I don't doubt they're eventually gonna bring it up to the Webtoon standard...but... Here's my whole issue with them having to fix all these bugs and glitches: None of this is necessary, because this redesign in itself, at least how I see it, was unnecessary. Like, I don't recall people saying "M…
Tapas pulls a comic out of a hat. It's Lost and Found. "Again?" Tapas asks Hat falls to the floor. They're all Lost and Found.
Ah, thank god I wasn't the only one with the jumpy page issue on mobile. I was seriously wondering if something was wrong with my phone or browser. But yeah, it does like to be jumpy with loading. Sometimes, you progress a few pages, and it might send you back to the top or back a few pages when i…
Yeah, minimum time to wake up is 10 for me. Kind of sucks I was getting used to wake up at 7...but oh well. I'll deal with the consequences whenever school gets back.
Well then, in that regard, I don't know how to help you. My only "comic" is an archive of a now deleted one, so I'm not really focused on total subs. All I can thing of is etiher: 1. Upload at times where more people are likely to be on Tapas (such as during the daytime, Friday/Weekends.) or 2. If…
Bleach...that's a name I haven't heard in a long time
Seriously though, just looked it up, kind of surprised to hear about it after so long! Wonder what it'll be like now, I know people complained the original show was plagued with the filler problem the other two of the "Big Three" (One Piece an…
So are you saying to you, this number is staying the same in a seemingly glitch manner? Or your subs have seem to stagnated and stay around that 3,262 mark. Because I just pressed the subscribe button, just to see it on my end, and it went to 3,263.
