What's it take to get YOU to click Like on a comic you read?

I'm more likely to give a like if it's a less popular comic that I enjoy, if I know/am familiar with the creator, if it's a big moment in the comic I've been looking forward to, if it's a really beautiful and/or ambitious page, or if it otherwise stands out in a positive way.

I'm less likely to give a like if the content on the page is very negative. Even if it's a beautiful page, it's hard for me to hit like on a page where the MC is having a mental breakdown or something like that.

Not trying to be smart, but what if the mental breakdown is something the character is having in order to grow more as opposed to tearing down. Like it needed to happen.

I neither like nor comment on comic pages, but the reason has nothing to do with the comics, and everything to do with Tapas's extremely poor privacy options. I have hidden my subscription list from my profile, but there is no way to hide the list of likes and comments. There's no point in hiding the list, only to create a new one by interacting with the comics I read.

If it were possible to disable this part of the profile page, I would have no problem liking and commenting.

(Yeah, I know comments and likes would be visible on the comics I left them on, but I have a lot less of a problem with that than with a collated list of all my activity in one place.)

Oh, I actually love emotional turmoil and that kind of thing as part of character/plot development in what I read. It's more like... If I hit that like button right now, I feel like I'm saying "yeah i love to see this character suffer." Something like that. It's probably silly, but that's my logic haha.

But if the page is somehow uplifting, despite the negativity, I would still give it a like.

Same, I don't like that.
I don't like the concept of everyone knowing what I do when I do it, with me having no control on it.
The only reason I'm not overly concerned with it is that most of the comics I interact with are drawn by people who know each others and read (or potentially read) each other comics, so they already kind of know anyway.
But I still don't like it.

If I like a comic but not enough to sub the whole thing and wont come back to it, then I like it. Easy

I hit like when I get surprised (awesome plot changing stuff!), when there's really good humour, when there's lots of emotion/character development or just really mind-blowing drawings/illustrations. So, if say a character did something to hurt another, I might like it because it's important for the plot/because conflict and not because I want that character to suffer. (Although I do like making my own characters suffer, so ... perhaps sometimes ... welllll )
