Do you ever get stuck on a sentence and go crazy because you know there is a perfect way to describe this action, that character, the setting, or whatever it is. You know that it exists. It's on the tip of your tongue. Maybe it's even just a word that your stuck on. You can think of synonyms, similar spellings, but that one word you need is missing from your head.

What was that word/sentence? How long did it take you to remember it? Did you compromise because you couldn't remember?

Often times I forget really simple words while I'm writing. I'll know exactly how I want to write the sentence that's five lines down but by the time I get there I forgot what the exact wording was and I get stuck on it. Like this sentence took me five minutes to write becuase I couldn't remember what word I wanted to use to describe the lines lol. It wasn't even that complicated of a sentence.

The dampened dirt was just hard enough to make sharp lines perfect for drawing.

ugh, I've had that happen so often in my novel, but trying to remember the lines specifically would be a pain.

however in the chapter coming out this week I was pretty stumped trying to thing of a mild way to jokingly refer to someone as being a creeper. not the easiest thing in the world XD.

This happens to me way too often, it infuriates me tbh.
