I like the idea of having a partner who can teach and influence me in areas I’m not strong in So I feel like I use that trope a lot.

Enemies to lovers

Mostly its bc theres so much you cna do with this trope, and whilst usually its a happy ending sometimes it can be tragic too, so its pretty unpredictable if the author wants it to be.

One person falls in love slowly and naturally, getting plenty of time to come to terms with it.. and the other one gets hit like a truck by ”oh shit, what do you mean I like this clown?! is THAT what that feeling was?”

I love star-crossed or forbidden lovers trope that starts with them being strangers or enemies to lovers. Then, after they fall madly in love with each other, it's also because they're opposites or two people from opposing backgrounds, others feel justified to keep them apart.

Omg, I love friends to lovers too!

I grew up reading a lot of stories where relationships end terribly at the end or the two main characters just never got together because the author ran out of time to write, and the publisher were ready to move on. Those heartaches and unfinished relationship weren't satisfying for me. So now, I read wholesome romance stories instead so if a story is being dropped, I won't be too disappointed.

Though, that might also be due to the fact that I like writing sad stories, so I need some funny drama to read on the side.

Forbidden love & Enemies to lovers
sound the most interesting to me.

The other tropes sound very romantic, in the direction of "oh how cute"
but don´t have enough "wtf is going on!!" tension for me personally.

I really like ‘regular’ girl x villain-coded character, that typically start through a forced relationship, but the two gradually fall in love. I love it so much that I started writing my own take on the trope. Although I don’t love every incarnation of it, there is a fine balance between ‘badboy’ and actual monster, and it is something that I struggle with in my own story.

Enemies to lovers at the moment XD. I don’t have an all time favorite trope but nowadays I like reading enemies to lovers.

I like enemies to lovers, but my favorite is friends to lovers.
I especially like when the male is a supportive, kind guy, who helps the female lead, and secretly in love with her
Sadly these guys rarely end up with the FL, usually there's an other guy who steals the show.
