It can be hard to advertise and get your stuff out there for people to see, but I think it just comes with time. So don't get discouraged and keep doing what you want to do.
As for tips to quicken the editing process, I have no idea 
What I do is put in the frames, make a quick sketch on what's going to be in them, type in some dialogue if needed, then move on to the next frame. After all that's done, I do the line art, and put in the speech bubbles. It's a process, but I've gotten faster at doing it over time. But before starting, it's best to have at least a rough idea of what you want to have happen in that chapter/page/etc. so you know where you're going.
You'll eventually find a method that suits you. And once you find it, repeating it will become easier and less time-consuming overall.
