Photoshop because I just edit a little the drawing and put some text lol, also I am into web design nowadays so it helps. But once I tried Paint Tool Sai an I think it is a good option if you just want a program for making illustrations.
I'm using Clip Studio Paint when it come to drawing/colouring and Adobe Illustrator if I'm making a logo.
I use photoshop since it was the first art program that I've learned. I haven't really ventured much into other art software like sai and manga studio etc. I really should though.
I use Clip Studio Paint and Photoshop CS5! I use Clip Studio for my gag strips and PS for my paintings!
I guess we PaintTool SAI users are not serious comic makers.
I didn't say that. There are plenty of SAI-users who make great comics.
It's just that I personally, when I make serious attempts at comics, use Manga Studio.
Clip Studio Paint, aka Manga Studio. I used to use Gimp for basically everything, but it doesn't handle large files as well as CSP/MS does, so I switched over a bit less than a year ago.
PS for layout/roughs Clip Studio for final artworkIllustrator for lettersIf it needs to be in a book/PDF then I compile all the pages in InDesign
Most of it can be done in clip but it's easier to break things up like this when working in a team. Sometimes I'll work in clip but export a file in .psd to hand over to the colorist.
