@destroyingangel Your art is awesome, been also going for a gross- looking action horror with dark fantasy, psychological and gay themes.
I'll check it out! Keep it up!
The story's story is that it started as a
videogame Idea, inspired by having virus many years ago
As a fan of RPGS, Fighting Games I imagined, what if your virus gave you super abilities instead of headache, sore throat and fever?
And as a fan of zombie horror and action horror games:
As people jokingly say 'Hey! Keep your virus to yourself', thought, what if spreading your virus had horrifying consequences? Others transform into zombie like creatures before your eyes (in seconds), you feel guilt for accidentally spreading your flu, but now you're on the menu!
You're left with using those super symptoms to fight for survival, and rescue others from those already infected, without infecting them too!
(While the covid outbreak was a sad time for all of us, 'social distance', 'taking precautions' and 'asymptomatic carrier' further helped shape the laws of the fictional virus/powers. The lockdown and not having to go to my day job gave me time to develop and launch the comic. )
Evan's powers (below) was inspired by excess mucus, always annoying having to run to the bathroom to spit that out lol In his case, he could transform his into swords and sticky traps. Imagined him being like a gross version of a RPG light swordsman. Also inspired by frequency and states of matter (Evan based on Solids, his brother based on Gas and so on..).

COMIC SUMMARY
What came out of this was the story of two brothers who contract a bizarre condition, anyone who makes contact with them instantly mutate into monsters. They unwillingly start an outbreak and their hopes to reunite with family seems unlikely. Their only method of survival are side effects that come with their condition based on states of matter. Evan the big bro can solidify his saliva into various melee weapons. Owen the younger can transform into gas. Meanwhile a madman rises to spin the situation into a grisly game!
On my own it easier to handle as a comic, enjoy storyboarding and narrative, so that made it easier choice. I'm still fairly new to comics, enjoying the process and learning as I go.
