What's your writing process? What have you learned?

Nah I had to get rid of the chicken bones when they started talking to me through the walls. It was just not a very good relationship.

My comic is hardly considered a comic. Most of my writing comes from taking a personal thought in the moment and playing with it in a poetic direction (similar to writing rap lyrics or taking a jazz solo). I don't really sit down and write anything for the comic (since 80% of it is just therapeutic). It's just stuff that I absorb and working through them in a poetic way. If something fits in the comic, it goes in.

My brother told me "don't come up with or try to create a story, just tell a story.
This was after I wrote the first 3 pages and I've never looked back since.

For me I like to tackle the hardest scenes first for a story. If I'm stuck on a scene I just jump back to it later. I lay
it out all on a blueprint first before attempting a first draft. It makes it easier for me to focus on one area at a time.
I normally just try to get one scene done a day if I can. One step at a time is my process. Multitasking often results in a disaster leading to procrastination from my past experience.

After the first draft is made its handed over to a couple eyes for editing and quality control for feedback. Then it gets put through a grammarly checker for any last minute checks.
