I'm pretty sure that first one is a premium comic. So I don't think that one is AI. But, yeah... If you're in the community tab, it's AI everywhere. We as users have to report them. And even then, they don't always get taken care of. A few of the covers I've reported are still around weeks later.

Same here, that’s why I made this post. If we all report together, maybe they will feel pressure from the community, and we can finally see tapas taking some action. Otherwise they will end up allowing ai … I don’t want to see that happening, it’s disgraceful towards someone who spends hours working on art.

I don't mind using it to make thumbnails for stories, but if all the drawings are in Ai, then that's a disaster!

You have to realize, art that you are using for thumbnails, is stolen. It doesn’t matter if it’s whole comic or one panel or one thumbnail, it’s a theft, it’s hurting artists, it’s ripping them off, it’s killing businesses. Much better and very cheap solution: paying an artist to make you beautiful professionally done thumbnails, or learn to make it yourself, but don’t steal from someone else. It’s against tapas rule and you also risk having your story removed.

Unless you have 100% proof that someone is profiting off your IP, you might as well spend your energy building your own brand. That way if the crap hits the fan, you're free and clear

Yeah, I actually like that Tapas is one of the few places that has rules against AI. But it really does feel like a game of whack-a-mole. For every series that gets reported, more pop up. I don't know if it's people not reading the rules and just assuming AI is allowed, or if it's people flagrantly breaking the rules because they just don't care.

It takes you 10 seconds to report someone, and it can help keep community clean of something that can, in the long run, also hurt your brand.

To say tapas doesn’t do anything with reported content is nonsense, actually, they will give you timeframe to prove ownership of the piece otherwise not that your cover will be removed but the whole novel/comic.
You are allowed to report, but who gives your right to take a screenshot of my cover and post it here without my consent without at least giving me a heads up?

In what world is it okay to trash someone’s work like this just because you took a quick look at it and decided it’s ai generated? Or maybe you know better than tapas how things should be handled and the way to save art community is to callout small creators who doesn’t make any money and accuse them of theft to make a quick drama and demotivate few people from creating, because why minding your business when internet needs keyboard warriors.

It's not allowed and if you see one you should report it so it can be taken down.

You can do so by clicking on an episode, click more, choose report and report it for copyright infringement. What I personally also do is add "gen AI used" in the reply box
