Yes, AI is awful, but we still need to be careful about the creators we accuse. Some are really obviously using AI (six fingers, things melting into other things, inconsistent details, that weird smooth texture, etc.) but there's a lot of times we can't be sure and it's best not to go in with pitchforks just on a hunch. If you're not sure, leave it alone.

It's just a shame so many people are choosing the cheap and lazy way instead of getting creative or learning a new skill. Either way, they should at least try to follow the rules of the site and show a little respect to the majority of creators on Tapas who are actually artists. For now, just report if you see something blatantly AI to help out the Tapas team who I'm sure is doing their best to take care of the issue.

3. Just popped up here, no profile picture, generic name, no purpose or personality other than anti-AI, no concrete indication or proof of being a creator themselves before.

5. Cannot bother to do a simple fact check or resolving a problem privately.
6. Not apologizing or even acknowledging the mistake made.

I don't like gen AI myself, but to say it in the gentlest way possible, your behaviour doesn't sell you as a human either are you really a human or a machine posing as an AI hater who wish to infiltrate the community? Human normally will have at least an inkling of self awareness as far as I know . Who programmed you? I don't buy everything you say.

As mentioned above, when artwork that is suspected to use AI is reported to us (or we find it), we reach out to the creator and ask them to prove ownership, or replace the image.

The assumption that Tapas does not act against AI is false, and I deeply dislike the witch hunt against creators who are falsely accused by others. There have been so many cases where creators can prove they have either created or licensed the artwork they use.

If you are concerned about something, feel free to report it and then move on without attacking someone needlessly. Because there is a chance that you will be wrong.
