When you have nobody to turn to but your creations/stories

been creating music for about 15 years...i'm only in my late 20s.
been writing stories since a kid but got serious not too long ago.
always wanted to write a manga or comic. i can't draw at all but damn i have some ideas/stories i wrote i had for so long i want it to turn to.
both are passions...not hobbies...almost like... lifelines.
have no one that understands how i function or to turn to so i just...do these two all of the time.
...i'm a complete shut-in lol.

Can totally relate to that...

I remember getting a chit chat at the guidance counselor's office for going on and on about my "girlfriend" who was a fictional character of mine. I remember screaming "SHE'S REAL!!!" over and over again.

I was in junior high... long before ai was the meme. It was still windows xp some comps still on windows 98 fun times.

I get it. I do the same thing with my writing. People refer to them as hobbies or interests, but their passions and lifelines for me as well. Sometimes we have things that we can't express any other way. It helps us maintain our sanity, and sometimes come to understand ourselves better through our writing. It's like when writing a character, you have to explain why they think the way they do, and sometimes that helps us understand why WE think the way we do. It can also be a good outlet to write about the things we're feeling when they get dark instead of giving into the feelings.
