Where do you promote your Tapas stories?

Just scouting for opinions and personal experiences regarding how most people promote their Tapas work outside of the Tapas forum and Tapas discord.

I am in the voting round for the Action Fantasy Tourney, but I really don't know how to reach out to attract readers and could use any help or advice in general on how people build their reader base.

Do you use social media?
Which ones?
Where do you feel you have the most success?
Are there any tools/features/etc that you prefer in one place over another?

All advice is helpful advice! This is the first story I have ever written, so I am still new to absolutely everything.

Instagram. I post on Instagram like 6 days a week. Artwork, and occasionally speed paints, as well as announcements

That's a lot! I am impressed! I definitely can't do that much right now. It'll be something I have to work toward.

I promote my comic on Cara, Tumblr, or here on Tapas Forums.

For some reason, I get the highest traction here.

I also post some art of my OCs on Cara and Tumblr.

Honestly, I get mixed results. Literally anything not related to 'Haru and Tsukasa', my series, has some popularity, and I don't think I have luck on Cara.

It makes sense to have more traction here, I think. People on this forum already have accounts and interests in reading comics.

for years, I've been using these forums, twitter and Instagram, but since things are changing on twitter and I don't show my work on there anymore I decided to us Bluesky. not too many places i guess but I am looking for more.
but through the years of being on here i feel that i have been getting more result through the forums, but i think in recent years

I don't use any social media to promote my comic, but I post some of my favorite panels on X (Twitter)! I guess I gathered some curious viewers from there!
Though I get most readers through promoting here in Tapas forum.

I decided to skip Twitter and jump straight into Bluesky. I was warned about the amount of NSFW on there, but so far, I have seen nothing that wasn't safe, so I guess it's more tailored than people realise. My feed is largely cats and people procrastinating projects.

Do you mind if I ask how you use youtube to advertise? Curious to know how you use a video medium for comics.

I do my promotion mainly on IG, Cara and my own website.
I create graphics and I read my novel, to show its aspects by voice and images
I also have dA and discord server.

Oh, reading is a great idea! I don't know if Tapas works with screen readers, but it would be great for people with visual impairments to enjoy your work as well.
