Which camera for drawing livestream?

Hi there =)

I want to make regular livestreams, where I'll be inking manga pages for Remember, sketching stuff or coloring artworks - however, my camera is not quite the best one (I use a very old, very cheap Logitech where there are basically no features adjustable).

The light is always flickering stroboscopic when I move my hand over the page and the quality is "pixely" at best.

Do you have any recommendations concerning a suitable webcam for artwork streaming? If possible in the lower price range?

P.S: Which one would you recommend as a streaming plattform? Picarto or Twitch?

I stream on both Twitch and Picarto.

I would say grow your audience on Twitch(its what I have been doing recently), it has a bigger and wider audience.
Picarto is also good but it's audience is not as big as Twitch, it specialises just for creatives (and NSFW art).

Though you can divert your followers to the stream site you choose

As for camera? Ive been told the Logitech C920 is a good 1080p cam - seems to be a streamer recommendation, but it all depends on your room lighting.

If you have a decent HD smartphone, you could turn that into a camera ( if you want to save money! )

Alright, I think I'll give Twitch a try next =)

I have looked up the Logitech C920 you recommended and it looks good =) I think I'll definitely give that a try!
However, the room lighing gives me a headache... I use a daylight lamp right above my paper, since I usually draw in the evening - and attach the camera on it... is it recommended to have several light sources in this case?

And no, unfortunately I don't have such a HD smartphone =/ The video quality is acceptable at best... u_u"

I currently use my smart phone which is a Samsung Galaxy Note 2, it can do 1080p HD videos, with an app you can turn it into a webcam. But I do want to get myself a Logitech C920, but as the phone is doing a job so far, Im planning to stick with it until I invest in a webcam.

ahh yeah daylight bulbs should be fine, you'll have to do some trail and error on setting up the lighting so its where you want it as you draw your comic

Most webcam and camera quality is based on the room light quality, having poor lighting will result in the video feed being noisy and grainy. Even if you buy the most expensive cam there is, if the room lighting is poor, the output will be fine but not the best .

Forgot to mention, if you want to stream to both Twitch and Picarto, you could use restream.io which provides a way to send a single stream to multiple platforms.
