Hmm... Quite interesting!
In Menmar, Nadhine and Yami are antithesis to each other; they don't see eye to eye, specially when it comes to Esther, Yami's wife and Nadhine's best friend.
Yami is somewhat a conservative guy; he believes there are roles and parts for everyone, and that one must act on it accordingly. He doesn't like being undermined in his masculine authority, which is the source of his dislike towards the blacksmith who has known his wife since childhood. He is also a loyalist, believing the Sultan to be a righteous ruler, who needs to be strict because his empire is large, and taking control demands an iron fist.
Nadhine doesn't share Yami's world views and politics; she believes everyone has the power to shape their fate, and roles are not restricted by gender or social standing, only by one's ability to perform it. She undermine's Yami's authority whenever she finds the opportunity to do so, and she is determined to see the Sultan dethroned and her people freed.
