Honestly I'm on the fence about whether or not I should stay with old art style for my manga or new one. I've been told quite a few times that the old one wasn't good, but honestly it looks fine to me.

I'm no art expert, nor am I trying to argue against the claims. There are most likely flaws that don't really bother me.

I was considering going with a new artist (also for cost reasons) and right now I only have a few rough sketches from them, but I'm not sure what to make of it.

Below is an example of the 2 styles of the same character who is 7 years old in both images. It is supposed to be an action shonen manga.

Both look good, and I'd definitely recommend whichever is a more sustainable style to stick with long-term. The first one looks like it took ages to do. It looks awesome, but may get tiresome to keep up with that level of detail page after page.
