Which platform are you guys planning to switch to?

[Aatonu]

I started posting my novel on this platform not too long ago. But it is shutting down... Which platform are you guys planning to switch to?

[alekszamrud]

Me too. I've only been here for a few months, but I've been crossposting my novel since the start (Wattpad, Scribble Hub, Honeyfeed). For now, I'm just gonna finish my first volume here and see how it goes on the other platforms.

What about you? Where do you plan to migrate?

I’m in the same situation. I’m a new writer and had only posted 13 chapters of my novel on Tapas, so I was just getting started. With Tapas winding down, I honestly don’t know which platform to move to.

I was also hoping to eventually collaborate with a webtoon artist, but now I’m not sure how realistic that is. I don’t really know many other platforms that offer the same kind of support, hosting, community, and collaboration opportunities.

The other thing I’m wondering is whether novels actually do well on these alternative platforms. Has anyone found a platform where novels can genuinely grow and build an audience? I’d really appreciate any suggestions.

I don't know either. I'm personally considering not reposting and focusing my energy on the stories I want to publish in print, but I'm not sure how realistic that is...

Check various sites like RR, Scribblehub, novelcult etc according to your genre and readers comfort gg

I'm on blogspot, inkstra, novelcult.

Wattpad was my initial platform so I'll definitely still be there. Other than that, I'm trying Scribble Hub, NamiComi, Honeyfeed, NovelCult and Pinya.

I'm moving to Comic Fury and then setting up mirror sites on other hosts. I should have set up mirrors a long time ago, but it takes a jolt like this to motivate me.

Comic Fury is really easy to set up - It even works using Firefox, which Tapas hasn't been able to do for a while. I've managed to do all of the buttons. icons and cover images and get all of this year's comics up in one weekend. Now the next thing to do is to archive all the titles and comments from the previous 16 years before starting to put them up in the new year.

I'm considering Fables and Lemoon as mirrors. Anyone had any experience with them?

[Azifri]

My comic is already up on its own website and on ComicFury, although I don't keep up with updates because I enjoyed the reader interactions at Tapas more. I've been checking out other sites these past days, and so far, for comics my personal favorite is Pinya. I like the general look and feel of the site and the infinite scroll just like Tapas has. Also, the size requirements for pages and thumbnails are the same as Tapas, which makes it easier to reupload there.

For novels, my favorite by far is NovelCult. It's easy to set up, very user friendly, and also has all those nice little extras such as bookmarks, comment on paragraph, and places to post art and character profiles. All that makes the creator and reader experience easier and more fun.

In summary: own website, ComicFury, Pinya, and NovelCult.

I have account on Wattpad which I've been writing on since 2014. I have a couple projects there and a finished novel already. But I'm likely to take "Love Over Kpop" and just self-publish it. I've been working on it for 8 years now through three serial platforms. I think it's time for an ebook and print edition. My other serial writing likely I'll just keep on Wattpad since I've been there for 12 years.
