Which story would you prefer?

Hello! I'm new here and I'm wondering which stories to post on here. I have a few that I'm working on, but I would rather post something that has more potential on this site before I begin posting. I'm coming from a different platform that doesn't necessarily have character limits, so I might have to fix up my writing to fix the limitations. However, here are the two ideas I have. Which one is preferable to you? And if this is in the wrong place, feel free to let me know. I'm super new here and I'm still trying to figure this forum out

• A story about a girl in 2012 who travels back in time to 1912 after reading a letter addressed to her.
• A story about a girl in the early 1800s who falls deeply in love with her childhood crush, someone she humiliated herself in front of after an awkward love confession turned sour.

Ah, no. Afraid I can't really do that. The time travel story is already in the works and close to the halfway point lol.

The stories are already in the works so I can't really combine them but I could add a similar subplot to the first one.

The 1st idea is a lot more novel than the other. I haven't seen a time travel webcomic yet and it combines two uncompetitive genres; historical and sci fi which means you'll be serving a niche that isn't being catered to. As for the 2nd idea, I've seen a few stories similar to it. The time period is the only thing that makes it different.

Buuuuut ...I think that the 1st idea would do better on Webtoons than on tapas and the 2nd one might do better on tapas.

Personally, I'd definitely read the 1st one. If your art is anything like your avatar (assuming you made it coz most artists make their own avatars) it would surely have great potential

It's a novel. I don't do webtoons or webcomics this avatar was something I picked temporarily while I made an avatar for myself.

Imho, go with the story you personally enjoy more. Then, target the readers who like this story's genre.

Why?
Because writing a story needs a lot of commitment. You're investing your own time in it. So you need to enjoy it.
But don't have the "build it and they'll come" mentality, you need to figure a way to reach the readers who would like your kind of story. Don't ask me how to do that, as I am still struggling with it

Oh I already have an audience for the time travel story I'm just looking to see what Tapas is more interested in since I don't know the demographic well. I'm posting this story and the other one on another site too. It's just a matter of figuring out how to market on here.
