Hellow I am new on tapastic. I am wondering which style of art is better for my comic. I usually work digitally and traditionally, each way have the goods and bads. I will post the two drawings of the same character in two differentes technics what I did use please say which style you prefer.
Thanks
I definitely like the first one better. The shading/inking is very nice and consistent.
Thank you very much for your comment. I think is a lot more clear, but is a lot more hard to do. I used the same technic in the fist chapter of my webcomic http://tapastic.com/series/Farewell-My-Home but I did spend a lot of hours. Thanks
I like the first one too.You definitely need a style you're comfortable with.It shouldn't take you too long to draw or you gonna burn out before the end.Good luck with your comic. It looks very promising!
That technique looks incredibly nice in your comic.
Thanks for the advice. I am trying to make something what would can "simplify" my work. Because I like so much do a detailed work in ilustration, but for a comic I will need something more simple.
thank you very much :D. I am doing my best.
Gotta go with the first one!
First one! It's so much bolder. I like it!
thanks. I will try something like that in next works.
Thank you I appreciate your attention.
Thank you very much for your opinion.
They look good to me but the 2nd one somehow looks unfinished to me. So I must say the first one... I really like that traditional feel. ^u^
thanks for help me. The first one was made with real traditional stuffs. (Moleskine sketchbook and mechanical pens)
Thats cool! I use tech pens and a fountain pen for my comic. But for coloring I had to go digital since traditional coloring materials are expensive.XD There's something about traditional inking that pleases my eye so i'm looking forward for more pages.
could be very nice the second test BUT with realistic eyes. a manga style eyes in that style picture imho ruin all...
I am in the same ship ^.^
Could be the problem, thanks for the advice.
Farewell My Home- Chapter two: A common life
I used traditional lines as the people said(and I think the same) is better.
Here one of the panels of the chapter:
I like the first one for the contrast alone. Much more stark and lively.
