Who else suffers with this weekly update thing ruining the pacing?

I usually go for monthly/bi-weekly pacings; it's the best for my story and it truly works for me. Okay, I might not get as much exposure as I'd like, but I won't sacrifice my plot pacing for it. My time will come, and I believe that my readers appreciate that xD
I draw the pages considering physical media, so I struggle with the pages and panels relations when it comes to webpublishings x.x

I publish around 10 to 40 pages per chapter, it's a massive work and sometimes I wish I had a buffer, but... It's the only way I found to work, I guess x.x

As an ace/aro artist, I've had a hard time with long romance and sex scenes in comics. There's been a few where the backlog was great and then we got stuck on romantic scenes for months and I forgot the entire plot.

When I was planning out the first chapter of my comic I wanted the first upload to be very big so that I could get the character and conflict established right away and get to where the plot starts moving by the second upload. But I realized if I did that I would have very little buffer, so I ended up splitting it into smaller uploads, even if it means it'll have slower pacing at the beginning.

I guess there's no way around it, sometimes the pacing will be ruined by updating format, just try to cut anything that's not necessary and try to keep the story as engaging as possible.

I think most people who are trying to gain views on this website do. I mean, how could you not? the only time you get any kind of view is when you update and after that, your comic falls into the wilderness and drowned by every other comic. It sucks and I wish I didn't have to update in such stretched out pattern but it's the only way I can handle it at the same time gain visibility. it takes a lot of time to make comics and I also have Patreon subs who actually support me to see early access releases so it won't be fair to dump all my work for my free readers and I can't work fast enough to produce enough buffer to have for my patrons so I can update what patrons have already seen for free readers. I have a full time job and that takes most of my time so it has to be that way unfortunately.
