He paused and studied Selena for a while. "Y'know what? Talkin' with ya ain't half-bad...least y'don't call me that f*cken nickname like the others do."

Kaizou couldn't hold back an amused chuckle at that one. "Well, sounds like you've made good use of that corridor."

SPAD tossed her head and rumbled, still content with her last helping of jerky.

“Hey - Callan and I were perfectly fine before you lot poked yer noses in.” Barrett said. “I had high hopes for that one.”

“I know a lot more about them, than they know about me.” He said as Zenith mentioned getting to know people. “You might not pass judgment on folks, but those lot certainly do.”

He scoffed when buying love was mentioned. “You’d be surprised.”

"not the superficial love you lugnut." Zenith got a blade out to start prying out the hinges on the door. "I mean a far more substantial kind, one that will still be there even when all the gold is gone. Suprised you didn't ask Morux to help, probably lift up most of the ship himself." he chuckled popping the first hinge and getting to work on the next.

Williams was queit for a moment, feeling a little bit of deja vu.

"This isn't the first time I've heard that. Didn't know what to tell them either, " he sighed. "But unfortunately we're here now and all we can do is move forward, otherwise we'll be forever dragged
down by the past. And while we might not know what will happen, this team has done some pretty incredible things, so as long as we all stick together, we should be fine."

“Think I’m more likely to sh*t out a golden egg than find a love like that.” Barrett said as he watched Zenith work on the door.

“I would’ve… only Nash looked about ready to strike me down with a lightenin’ bolt.”

“… you’ve done this before.” Barrett said as the door clanged on the floor. He pushed past Zenith to look inside.

The ship’s broken interior was dark, and from the constant ‘drip’, ‘drip’ - it sounded like a few things were leaking in there.

Barrett turned his nose up at the noxious fuel smells.

"What're we waitin' for?" Ronah stood up, an excited glint in his eye. He walked a few ways off (not too close to SPAD and Haru) and cracked his knuckles.

"Hope you're ready. Bandits don't play fair." He flashed a mouthful of fangs and charged at Selena, claws out ready to tackle.

Kaizou looked uncertain. "Not sure–apparently souls can be transferred into machines here. I heard an evacuation team will be sent out to fetch us soon."

"Okay! Get ready as well!" Selena grinned as she got ready also, lightning crackling through her body as she waited Ronah's first move.

SPAD huffed, raising her head pridefully and moving her front legs to cover her chest and belly.

Melvin shook his head. ”Not really. I’ve heard that it has something to do with the brain, but that’s all I know.”

Nash considered this, his scowl etched onto his face. Sighing, he wordlessly rested his face in his hands.

A minute or two later, his shoulders started to shake.

Ronah barreled towards Selena, spreading his arms out at the last minute to tackle her down in case she tried dodging sideways.

"Hey, it's okay. It's gonna be okay," he said gently.
