Right as Barrett said that, a Seraph crossed the hall up ahead. They didn’t see the group, but if he listened close enough he might have been able to hear them say something about “Looking out for the time travelers”.

Waffle held his breath, backing up against a wall.

Barrett quietly went for his sword… which just wasn’t there. He angrily mouthed something vulgar.

Shepherd covered his eyes.

Callan mirrored Waffle, backing up to the wall.

The Seraph stepped out of view into the hallway crossing the entrance, leaving the group alone once more. After a few moments had passed, Tabitha started to edge forward again.

The network of walkways started to come into view as they made their way down the hall. No Seraphim noticed them, but if they peered down at the network once they came up to the guardrail, they would have seen that there were more officers standing guard around the prison.

Tabitha turned to look at everyone. “Alright,” she said. “You all wait here for a minute. I’m gonna sneak down to the bottom level and try and create a distraction so you guys can get the photos up here. Wait about seven minutes before you start.”

Barrett peered over the guardrail to look down at the Seraphim. “Good luck with that.” He muttered as he noted how many enemies there were.

“On your own? What if you get caught?” Shepherd worried, putting Connie down for a moment.

Callan quietly listened, glancing from person to person as they spoke.

“Quiet! Tabitha knows the risk she takes!” Lion Speerce told Shepherd.

“I can sense their auras. Their heartbeats are a little fast.” Jupiter said.

"Be careful, " said Waffle. "You sure you don't want anyone coming with you?"

“Then I guess we’re screwed,” Tabitha said. “So unless the Seraph that catches me in that scenario has something resembling a soul, you better hope nothing happens.”

“Whose heartbeats? The Seraphim?” Nash asked.

“I’m sure,” Tabitha nodded. “No telling what’ll happen to me when I’m down there.”

“…interesting,” Nash nodded, looking back out over the walkways. He smirked a little bit. “We’ve made ‘em nervous.”

"Okay, but just stay safe alright?" Said Waffle.

“-or excited.” Barrett added to what Nash just said. “Let’s get this over with.”

“I’ll see you on the other side,” Tabitha nodded, turning and starting to sneak her way down.

Tabitha disappeared into the walkway network. Minutes passed. No alarm was raised.

“Look,” Jericho whispered, discreetly pointing down. “They’re moving.”

And he was right. Quite a few of the Seraphim were starting to travel down to the lower levels, presumably towards Tabitha’s distraction.

Waffle tried to take pictures with his watch, only to realize that it was a regular analogue one.
"Uh, we got a cameras, right?" He said.

“Ummm. No?” Captain Jupiter said.

“What the devil is a camera?” Lion Speerce asked.

Shepherd looked down to see where Jericho was pointing.

Barrett wasn’t sure what a camera was either, but he checked his pockets anyway. He had a pair of reading glasses and a handful of humbugs.

All Callan had was a beat up ‘Fall Out Boy’ cassette tape, which he rattled and held up to his ear.

Nash held up his phone. "I got one, so long as this doesn't die before we can get any pictures."

"It's something you take photos with," Nash explained. "You point it at what you want to capture, press a button, and then you have a picture on the device that's a copy of what you were looking at."

Jericho peered over the edge with Shepherd, eyeing the Seraphim as they moved down to the lower levels.

"Alright," Nash said, joining them. "Let's get this over with." He snapped a few pictures of the prison network before starting to look thoughtful. "...should we go further in?" he asked. "I mean, if we get pictures of the cells, maybe even more people will believe us. We'll have to be careful, though..."

“Do you think there are more prisoners down there?” Shepherd said. “If there are, we should free them all.”
