While the RP took a short break to help the stranger before continuing on to the bridge, Speerce put Jack next to Mannejay so that the cub wouldn’t stray too far from the pack.

“This damned fog is making this place harder to see. Will you look after him Mannejay?”

The duck elephant was more intelligent that perhaps he may have led on. “Quack.”

He ducked out of Selena's hug, now fearing for his life, and adjusted the collar of his bloodied white shirt.

Fubuki just blinked blankly at Owl as he talked about the Infovore before checking her own tiger tail to make sue he wasn't referring to her or Selena.

He looked over the rest of them. "Considering the way your friends have acted since I woke up, would it be right for me to assume we're all headed somewhere safer?"

Callan stayed close to Flor as he followed her and Williams.

Jack hugged Speerce as he was relocated. “Quack!” He said to Mannejay as he was left in the creature’s care.

Barrett couldn’t make heads or tails of what the newcomer was talking about, which is how he felt when talking to any of the group to be fair.

“The opposite actually.” The Knight answered Owl before following the others into the fog.

“Listen up carefully! Getting past this border means that every next step we take needs to be exactly right. No flying, no bickering, and no comedy Gonvonope said looking irritated at Barrett.

“Hope isn’t going to help us get into Thae Glait safely. And hope especially isn’t going to help us win this war. It’s gonna take smarts and skill. Nothing else.”

Quami then addressed the group pulling out a map from his knapsack. “If we take the worm’s entrance, we’ll be able to bypass the security gate, and cut directly through to the city. Once inside, we’ll have to move fast before the police catch us and rendezvous with a man named Zaheer at the bell tower. And then we may be able to heal this stranger…”

The worm’s entrance was in front of them at this point.

Flor held Callan's hand, feeling her nerves bubble up.

Holl’s stony expression was back, as was their knife. They were playing with it, but were still clearly focused on what Gonvonope was saying.

Barrett gestured to himself in a 'who me?' manner, then smirked.

"Who knows... perhaps the worm could be friendly." Shepherd chuckled nervously.

Cal looked down as Flor took his hand and gave hers a reassuring squeeze.

"Quack-quack-quack-" Jack nattered away to his childminder in the background.

Mannejay licked Jack as the group entered the worm’s entrance in an orderly fashion. Sam’s glow staff provided a light in the dark tunnel. The group would be careful not to touch the worm’s slime on the walls.

“The worm’s actually a deterrent. The ancient scriptures for tell that the moon once took the form of man and altered the worm to grow a thousand feet tall to devour the early peoples of Aviarad as punishment for their senseless wars and destruction. Interestingly enough, it’s natural habitat remains at the bottom of Thae Glait’s ocean as a reminder of the vengeance that may befall us if we act like our ancestors. Although the Engineers naively think of it as their ‘guardian pet’ for some reason.” Quami told Shepherd.

Barrett grimaced as they passed by all the slimy walls.
