Jack sat down and clutched the drawing stick in his free hand. “Morux.” He answered, intending to draw his friend.

Barrett was going back for the gold. Nash was right. Nobody wanted him around, so why should he stay.

Nash glowered at the ground for a good minute. “I was in the Air Force, for part of the Reckoning,” he eventually said, his glare fixed downward. “I joined after my dad was killed. I was fifteen and had just lost my only family member. They were desperate enough to enlist children as fighter pilots. It sucked, but there wasn’t shit else to do.

“…I had a friend. Mentor, more like, but whatever. His name was Mac. He was five years older than me. And he was the only person on that damn base who treated me like a man.”

Williams frowned, but nodded.
"That's a pretty awful thing to go through. Especially singe the military can be rough. Tend to find a lot of meat heads there," he said. "Seems like tou guys respected each other a lot. "

“We did. He became my unofficial older brother.”

Nash went quiet, his fists gripping the linen sheets on the cot. “We were out on a mission one day. He was flying. I was gunning.”

His knuckles went white. “And an enemy round caught him in the chest. He lived long enough to get us closer to the ground, but he was still dead before he could keep us from making a rough landing.”

"Take your time. Like I said, we'll have to wait for things to be more secure. Now you just focus on protecting yourself and her." He smiled.

"It's a...uh, series of moving pictures," Kaizou recalled thoughtfully. "Projected on a screen."

“Barrett’s got this corridor of portraits back home. They’re all of him. The eyes seem to follow you when you walk by… so I used to flip them all off.” Callan confessed with a naughty smirk.

Meanwhile, the real Barrett was stood taking in the state of the crashed ship. It was a miracle that nobody was seriously hurt.

Jack’s drawing skill level was currently at zero, so his drawing of Morux looked more like a snowman with arms and legs.

He drew himself stood beside Morux, with little triangles for the wolf ears.

"you ok?" Zenith softly asked, "it was quite the crash, we were pretty lucky to get away with some scratches."

Morux grinned, "aww Jack that's really good! I didnt know i was that tall." he teased warmly, "may i draw you next?"

Barrett hummed in agreement, then started clambering over rubble to get inside the wrecked ship.

“Shouldn’t you be makin’ sheep’s eyes at Kaizou?” He grumbled.

"I'm sure in time you'll grow to be a big big wolf Jack."

"Last thing I want is ya getting hurt out here, wreckage's are dangerous after all."

Haru realized that SPAD left him, so he went to find her. "SPAD...? Where are you...?" He called out. Lazarus was still sulking in the corner. It has been about 3 hours now.

“Don’t concern y’self. As soon as I find that gold, I’m gone.” Barrett told Zenith. He found one of the ship’s mangled doors and growled as he struggled to force it open.

"And go where?" Zenith perched himself above Barrett to watch in his weird bird like way. "This place is beyond our understanding, souls put in metal bodies to fight? Rather grimm don't you think? Or are you just running away from your problems instead of facing them?"
