Who's got awesome interiors?

Happy Friday, everyone! I just spent most of the day making a bedroom for one of our characters and I feel like I must be insane - how the heck am I going to get my weekly pages done, but I loved the "interior design challenge." Anyone else got some interiors that you spent waaaaay too much time on for your comic? Proud? Not proud but want to share since it was a lot of effort? I'd love to see them and shower them all with love .

I really hope my writer is planning to spend a lot of time here - I won't be able to use this for all the backgrounds but I can get some mileage with it establishing the scene I hope...

I am also guilty of this, but the backgrounds I get really into for TENACITY are usually reoccurring sets(so I justify it to myself lol). I really like working on backgrounds even though they end up being one of the biggest time sinks. ^-^"

Feels homey and comfortable... Purple sheets always good!

Do toilets count? this one literally took me years to finish, one point at a time (I stopped that project in between for some time)... only used it for three pages.

I have this interior for an architecture class I did two years ago I have made and got a B for it. But it's also a scene for my web novel series that will happen eventually

i took it even a step forward by making it a 3D model version of it as well

It would look pretty weird if your characters showed up in a super detailed background . But maybe they would like it?

Yes, of course! Is it weird if I say this looks cozy?? You got so much atmosphere going with the black and white and the top-down view is really compelling.

I adore the cat you put on that beam and can't get enough of your shadows - can really feel the light coming in and your love for each object you placed in the space. Also I'm insanely jealous of your 3D model... goals!

I want this room - the lights in the corner are soooo beautiful and you managed to pack so much of your characters' personality into their space. Also is that an AC unit on the upper right? Amazing!

That was an easy question. Definitely this interior design from Chapter 1. Man! That took forever!

I'm sweating just looking at all those curved lines you drew (and so well I can really imagine being there). Feels like such a pure, clean and bright space. I especially like the detailing you put on those purple walls .

Fun fact: originally that was not meant to be there but my teacher at the time pointed out that he didn't like how the beam looked compare to everything down below where everything Is filled to the brim with detail so i was like "meh, why not a cat." And for the 3D render version, i was stuck in the middle of 3D modeling and Animation thinking of what to do for my first project then i looked up to my last hanging on my wall and i was ".... GOT IT!" i wished i had more time to work on it back then but we had other projects to do.

I do all my interiors in Blender, my favorite for Ring Spell is probably my MCs bedroom XD

That's unbelievable! It's so organized (does your MC want to help me clean lol?) and I feel like I can learn a lot about your character just by looking around their room. In your comic great job adding texture/lighting to match up with your drawing style. Awesome.

Thank you~! Haha, he's fortunately a very neat character into cleaning since it's always more challenging to make messy interiors XD I textured it in case I wanted to make animations with it, but in comic I usually just line over it all so that it matches the comic style. It'd probably look pretty bad if I used it like this with my drawn characters

Thank you, that's awesome you think so! I did put a lot of time into planning this one so their personalities would come through! And yes, I did one of those big wall AC's in there too.
