Fun fact: originally that was not meant to be there but my teacher at the time pointed out that he didn't like how the beam looked compare to everything down below where everything Is filled to the brim with detail so i was like "meh, why not a cat." And for the 3D render version, i was stuck in the middle of 3D modeling and Animation thinking of what to do for my first project then i looked up to my last hanging on my wall and i was ".... GOT IT!" i wished i had more time to work on it back then but we had other projects to do.

I do all my interiors in Blender, my favorite for Ring Spell is probably my MCs bedroom XD

That's unbelievable! It's so organized (does your MC want to help me clean lol?) and I feel like I can learn a lot about your character just by looking around their room. In your comic great job adding texture/lighting to match up with your drawing style. Awesome.

Thank you~! Haha, he's fortunately a very neat character into cleaning since it's always more challenging to make messy interiors XD I textured it in case I wanted to make animations with it, but in comic I usually just line over it all so that it matches the comic style. It'd probably look pretty bad if I used it like this with my drawn characters

I've only got one BIG interior so far, but it took a ton of work and I'm proud of it. And it's never appearing again outside of extra content

I've got a few more landscapes to use in the comic, but they're huge WIPs because I need to render over my traditional lineart. It was fun practice but I keep putting it off since I need to double check the perspective on everything...

The visual impact is so strong - the amount of solemnity and emotion you packed into this is out of this world. And the lighting... just damn. Feels so real - it's a great painting!

Nightmare fuel!!! That's so cool and being able to build that is such an amazing skill. I'm having a very back and forth debate with myself about biting the bullet to learn 3D modelling for the next series we'll be working on.

Never appearing again... noooooooo. You definitely nailed that magical feel to the space. I think the fact that you've got all the aisles lit up is one of those subtle details that readers might not consciously notice but it makes the architecture feel so lively to me. And the book spine colors <3 <3. I love your bedroom even more though - something really personal between the artist and the character by what objects you choose to draw. I can imagine sitting in there!

Honestly, the drawing version of this monster is better and if you really want to 3D graphics and modeling you would need a good computer to handle the program itself like a gaming laptop or computer that can handle the rendering. And let me tell you, learn 3D is not easy at first. but after a while, you get the hang of it. Also here's the drawing version of that monster and pay close attention to the size comparison of the monster itself and characters in the foreground.

Well luckily I'm a gamer so my computer isn't an issue. It's just the time to master the software... sigh. I think most of the series will take place inside a castle complex so having 3D models of the most-used rooms could end up saving me time in the end. I have plenty of time to decide I guess.

That is true. i've seen a lot of comic artists use 3D renders of locations for their series and then take a screenshot and trace over them for their panels. Which is honestly a neat idea I might do in the near future. The other problem with 3D programs is which one to chose because... these 3D programs don't come cheap.

Thank you so much! Storytelling really enhances a location as much as it enhances a character, if not more. The library had another scene later on, but it became too complicated to move everyone from their position to there, so the location changed to somewhere they would already be in. Thankfully, the plaza and the bedroom will have plenty of attention.
