About phrasing, I just said people make their own thoughts and opinions. No can control them except the individual. You also can't tell what someone is thinking unless they speak up. So how am I supposed to know someone understands what I said unless they react?
You said there is people that can be analytical, but not everyone is like that. Yes, you won't have teachers your whole life, but can you honestly tell me that you have never tried to get help from another person? At a new job you get a trainer/teacher to show you the ropes. In life we still go to people (friend, family, internet, etc) for advice. You still have teachers they just go by different titles. It's true you won't always hear what you want to hear, but you need to hear it regardless and that has nothing to do with what I said. If several people come out with the same solution, but it's not helpful then expand the search (I said multiple perspectives are important). If nothing changes still after some time then that is the answer. I never said I was unsatisfied, I said I wanted multiple perspectives to be considered. I don't think you understand what that means even though I said it a lot. I wanted all angles, possibilities and scenarios to be considered. More than just a short simple answer of "you're just unlucky, and self entitled". Other people gave advice here that didn't mention those things, so I don't see why you don't get that.
As for the laziness comment. What I'm getting is you said something, that I misunderstood, so you clear up the misunderstanding by explaining yourself. How is that different than what I did? I also said to consider the people that can't go at the same pace as others. One person could develop a skill in 3 years, meanwhile it takes another 30 years. They still did it, but it took longer. I never said don't practice, I said it takes longer. You could work with someone who has the skill you need and still practice it in the background. You would still be getting help in an area you fail at and you would not be part of the lazy for still trying. You still would not be able to do it on your own.
I am being realistic which is why I said to consider all possibilities, but you seem to be ignoring the ones I mentioned. I get your perspective on the possibilities you mentioned, and I am tryin get your perspective on the ones I mentioned. This way I have answers to both sides. As for the self deflect thing, yeah, don't know how you got that. When did I blame anyone for anything here? I never said it was anyone's fault. I presented a scenario and received answers. I never made excuses. It seems that when I say "What if this is the scenario?" you hear "This is my excuse". How do you ask people for advice then? When they give you an answer you can't use do you change the scenario like I did or is that an excuse?
You might not see it as advice, but I do (different perspectives). You have seen only some threads. Keep in mind I said this website was not the only place I posted. So I don't think you're getting the whole picture. This includes all examples of my work I posted in those places.
How am I victimizing myself? I only asked for advice. I never said you called me ignorant. I said in this scenario "You are the teacher and I am the ignorant student". I called myself ignorant and gave an analogy. Look carefully at what I said. I already mentioned that teachers can be anyone with a different title. As long as they teach you something. If you are uncomfortable then I am sorry about that. You also don't have to answer if you don't want to.
Yes people have given advice. I'm not sure why you are upset about me thanking these people for taking the time to answer. Even if some were similar, I am just being polite. Some didn't understand what I was saying and jumped to negative conclusions and I'm thanking the ones that didn't.
So if you have a bad pitch or idea wouldn't you want to fix it to make it better? I'm not asking you to care about the comments on my posts. You really don't have to answer if you don't want to. No one has to. A question was asked and anyone who wants to answer can, but if they don't want to they don't have to.
Yes I don't have the desired results, so instead of just sitting back and doing nothing about it I'm trying to take a step forward. Asking other people for their thoughts is to make sure I go in the right direction.
You said it needs to be a golden plate, but I want to know the qualities of the golden plate, so I can make one myself. Also, in this case you can just ask questions then say "I'm no interested" and leave. You don't have to sign up or follow anyone anywhere. You talk, get an idea of how things are and if you feel uncomfortable, you leave.
Sorry I didn't notice the potential collaborator. I've been trying to read through all these comments a little at a time (guess I missed it). I'm not ghosting anyone.
My comment about having a friend was "what if you don't have one that can fulfill the role". A scenario was presented, but it was misunderstood. If you don't have an answer for it, that's fine too. I don't either.
Some of what you said got misunderstood too. I'm just trying to get you to understand, we are human, people make mistakes. I'm trying to go through all of the comments here and answer them to the best of my ability. I'm making a list out of the advice here and going to go through it, I never expected a potential artist collaborator to appear here out of pity. If I'm trying to communicate with people in this thread to the best of my ability and they don't understand what I'm saying I am fine with explaining myself. I expected the same from them. If I don't understand them then I expected an explanation and no negative comments. We are humans, we make mistakes, we are not magic, but I thought we could talk things out without pointing fingers with negative intentions.
If you want, I will apologize. We can put all of this behind us, and just start over.
