cough Likely... because he's a cajun / racist stereotype with his accent.
The dialogue he has isn't actually bad and you're looking at a bayou in the 1920's or something - but it's still a stereotype that Disney unwisely fell into...
CinemaSins actually did a sins of this video recently and one of the comments was the whole movie is like a bunch of Looney Toons sketches tossed together - and it totally feels like it. And I like the movie!
