Revised Question:
Hello.
I'm an artist, who kind of feels left out here.
I really, really want to know why artists do not try hard enough to improve their art, especially if they are doing a collaboration with a writer. I've also noticed a couple of good comics whose storyline is pretty good but are not that popular because of the quality of the art.
Being a hobbyist myself, I really want to urge other artists to strive for a better result, no matter what their current art status is. Like, I find WLOP's Ghostblade one of the most amazing comics out there. (I'm sure you've heard of the name if you're an artist)
BTW I do want to do a collaboration as well but I thought I'd ask some of my questions first, to know where exactly artists get stuck/have trouble, so that I can better prepare myself.
Thank you!
A lot of you guys asked about my own art so here you go lol, im following wlop's aeolian tutorial and have just started with the face on a base layer, will keep you guys updated if u want
BTW I seem to have offended people and I'm new here so I'm very, very sorry! I was really just wondering about it for a while so I wanted to ask it out loud for once.
Here's some cartoon-ish sketch practices of mine for someone who said I'm judging people on the basis of hyperrealism:
