Why some authors are really rude with their followers?

I like when people theorize about my work, it's when they become assholes that I start to get annoyed. But I don't call them out or mention it at all, I just ignore them. The only time I would snap at someone is if they are being really gross (like sexualizing minors or actually harassing me)

On here you can get 'famous' and you have followers that looks up to you in a way. And just like anyone with a following, people can either use it for good or for bad. If I saw a creator acting that way I would unsubscribe and never go to their page again. :/ Because I don't want to support them or their behavior. I just don't want that negativity in my life. And if they see a drop in views/revenue hopefully they'll take it as a sign to grow the heck up.

I haven't met any content creators who have been particularly rude to their followerers so far. I mean you also have to consider that sometimes there's a difference between reading a thought and actually hearing them out. I know I have made comments on the interweb that people thought I was being an arse when I was just being silly/or supporting.

Well the comments coming from the author seem a bit passive-agressive in my opinion.
I think if you are inconfortable with some comments your readers made, just tell them nicely, and if you have a lot of comments that makes you inconfortable, just make a small announcement saying that you're not mad at them but it's making you a bit inconfortable so you'd like them to stop. And usually, they apologize and stop, you don't have to be mean about it.

I also agree with @Marvin about the fact that when your readers start shipping and making silly theories, it means that they really like your story and are engaged in it.
