Junah;
Excitable and anxious, touchy-feely and sunshine, people pleaser and open. When I designed her I wanted the embodiment of positivity and openness with an undercurrent of anxiousness. She's a shorty at barely 5ft (don't let her hair fool you) and is built sturdy and wide. She is the embodiment of roundness that correlates to her buoyant personality, and her thick all-over stature also pays homage to her natural elemental affinity of the land that weathers change and sticks around. Her color scheme is mostly warm with a tinge of cool to rep a hidden aspect of her personality.
Kaelen;

Levelheaded and calm, prefers to keep physical contact to a minimum (barring certain activities), and is a realist, speaks frankly, and is reserved. For his design, I wanted dependable with an air of mystery, but overall a practical fella. He's not super tall (Junah is just short) and he is drawn more sharply than she is, but he has a natural wave to him that corresponds to his elemental affinity of water. His color scheme is cool neutrals to offset the warm with a hint of odd energy that Junah's color scheme brings
They were both designed simultaneously and meant to complement each other by being opposites in almost every way as I like contrast to extend into all aspects of a character when I make couples. From their appearance to their personalities, the more polarizing the better, bc the journey will be finding common ground and coming together despite differences and I'm here for the work it takes to get to that point
It's also my personal mission to show more plus n poc folks taking center stage in art, stories, and comics, so that tends to take up a big part of how I design my characters.
