It won't work for me.
If someone has to write action, I believe they need to get the moves right. The anatomy, the strategy, the vital points to attack, the strength of damage dealt, it all needs to be at least close to real. If someone is writing a medical treatment, the steps of wound dressing, the antiseptics, the complications of the wound, the do's and don'ts of caring for the injured, it has to be real.
If it's not accurate, those people who know real combat and those who actually work in the medical profession will probably shake their heads or cringe or laugh, but if you're even close to being correct even in one particular description, you'll earn their respect. They don't expect the creators to have a thorough knowledge but it goes a long way when one does it right.
The point is, unless I know what I'm getting into, I won't dive in.
