Hi Dialusion! I'm not particularly confident in seeing the intricacies of love but let's see what we got XD
A lot of spreads seem to deal with a specific romantic target in mind and is more on compatibility. I decided to do two readings: a single card for a general look, and a three card spread on the readiness for love.
GENERAL ROMANTIC FUTURE - Eight of Swords (reversed)
Donkeyskin (FRANCE, French Fairy Tale)
The Eight of Swords represents being caught up in your own insecurities. Donkeyskin was forced into hiding to escape a bad situation. Now she is faced with the decision to continue the life she has created or to step out of her self-made prison.
Reversed indicates freedom, new perspectives, taking a stand, strength, healing
Reading:
You may still have insecurities holding you back, but you are clearing the way and creating that space for the romantic future you want. It’s possible you already know what you want in love; you just need to make it happen.
Next is the three card spread.
This one is for the readiness of love and deals with what you want in love, what you learned from love, and what holds you back from love.
WHAT YOU WANT - The Chariot
The Three Princesses of Whiteland (NORWAY, Norwegian Fairy Tale)
The Chariot is about harnessing emotions and charging down a straight, clear path. Where the prince may have floundered before, he has learned from his mistakes and now blazes forward confidently.
Upright indicates a journey, perseverance, rushed decisions, vengeance, victory
Reading:
Love is war, and you want nothing less than victory XD Kidding aside (but only mildly), perhaps what you want is a confident love. It’s still a journey in itself, but it’s one you can walk confidently in with no fear or doubt. Just be careful not to be too confident, rushing anything can be quite dangerous.
WHAT YOU LEARNED - Page of Coins (reversed)
Beaivi-nieida (SWEDEN, Sami Deity)
The Page of Coins welcomes the beginning of spring and summer, a fresh start, the end of darkness. Beaivi-nieida represents hope, setting up solid foundations, and mental wellness. She is grounded and anticipates the bright future.
The reversed indicates a lack of common sense, immaturity, laziness, apathy
Reading:
Whether this is from experience or from what you’ve seen from other romantic relationships, you may have already seen what a lack of commitment and lack of care does to love.
WHAT HOLDS YOU BACK – Nine of Coins (reversed)
The Legend of the Watermelon (VIETNAM, Vietnamese Legend)
The Nine of Coins represents success. Hard work and patience have resulted in a successful harvest, and now, even the Emperor enjoys Mai An Tiem’s watermelons. The road was long and hard, but the rewards well worth the effort.
The reversed indicates scams, superficiality, overinvestment, work-obsessed, ungrateful
Reading:
This may be actual work obsession, in that you are caught up in juggling a lot of things that you’re unable to find time to really grow and appreciate the relationships you have and/or want to build. It may also be, to some degree, the feeling of putting in a lot of effort for something that doesn’t seem worth it?
Overall Reading:
Much like the general reading, it seems you know what you want for the most part and just need to push through with it. Love takes a lot of care, and you may need to give enough of yourself to ensure a bright romantic future.
