Would you turn your comic into a TV show?

Aetherwar? I totally would turn it into a feature length film lol. It'll be roughly the write length minus a few scenes perhaps. With a Harry Potter-esque fantasy mixed in with Cthulhuian horror. Hahaha. I think it'd work well

tl;dr answer: Nope*

Seeing how TV tends to treat creators I'd probably pass. Since I'm not pitching it, they'd only be buying the rights to secure the brand for something already in production, not to make my story. The contract would have to be fixed so I'd actually have rights to continue making my own comic, because I'd be surprised if it didn't try to claim exclusive rights in other media. Also, writers rarely have any input into the production process, not without a lot of legal negotiation.

*Exception: For a $h#t ton of money. 🤑

If a company approached me and said they'd like to turn my comic into a show I might decline the offer on a few factors.
Will I have some creative control of it's direction?
Would my fans like it? I'd only really do it if by fan request.
Who or what studio wants to turn it into a show?
Of course do they want to make it into a live action, or something animated?
Though really it depends. I don't want to simply say yes because I'd be excited over the prospect. They could easily screw it over.

Yes, definitely! I always felt my webcomic is more suited for animation, as are almost all of my stories. I'm always ready with TV shows to pitch, actually! Of course, I'd like to have creative control, especially if the webcomic was picked up by a studio before it is finished. I wouldn't mind a live action version, either! It'd be so neat to see the character masks in real life! How much neater would it be if they could film it in Japan, too! So cool!

Not unless I had full creative control. It's too easy to twist a message or to oversimplify themes for adaptions.
I'd like to have an animated series a la DCAU but there are some pretty dark and adult themes that I'll be touching on :V

i feel like a lot of ppl here are implying theyd want full creative control if their comics go that way, i know i was,,, ofc ppl would want to be in charge of the production of their comic? that seems obvious
