Would you watch a show or read a comic for just it's world building rather than the plot?

On a random but related note thouugh, I think it'd be really cool if someone created a full-blown world (with rules, physics, languages, countries, etc) and then let the public use that world to create their own stories. It could be a big public collaboration~

unironically that is something i wanted to do with one of my created universes for my stories because im curious to see how people would insert their characters within the setting and its constraints. the only thing that stops me is knowing people would be opposed to certain limitations i personally imposed for it and kinda doubt people would want to adhere to it

also as an aside it's interesting the number of folks who use the "introductory lore dump" as a marker for world building vs plot when thats more an indicator of poor writing than heavy world building. plus the only series to have even gotten slack for that in the mainstream that i know of is like Star Wars which even then is still not good

I would do that if the world building was very interesting. Like is it was a world made of waffles, I would probably be interested.
